Really good quality bike for the money. Well built and exactly the simplicity I was looking for. Arrived super well packaged in perfect shape. The assembly was simple, seat, handle bars, pedals, and front wheel. Having a good set of box wrenches since multiple sizes are required and the right sized allen wrench helped speed things along. No plans to ride it on wet road conditions so opted to leave the front fender off, and removed the already installed rea fender r - giving it a tougher, even more minimalist look. Went with the 1 speed and coaster brake model, rides very nicely. Easy pedaling on roads with some modest hills. Purchased a water bottle holder and under seat bag and those installed smoothly. Was plesantly surprised to see it did have a kickstand, though the picture looks like it doesn't. Super pleased with the bike, good quality for the price, and highly recommend if you're looking for a simple cruiser bike for getting some exercise around the neighborhood. ... show more

Huron 3 speed, very pleased for the price (lightning deal $240). I'm 6', 230lbs and it fits me well, but if your taller I wouldn't recommend. No damage on delivery, was packaged well. Assembly was simple but does require some tools. 3/8 Ratchet 15mm front axle 14mm seat adjustment 13mm seat post clamp on bike 10mm for front fender bolts 10mm open end front fender nut H6 hex for handlebars 14 mm open end wrench for pedals Phillips screwdriver for reflectors Adjustable wrench for headset There was some interference between the tire and front fender but that was easily fixed by bending the attachment arms of the fender. The gear shifts of the nexus hub are very precise and quick. It is recommended to coast between gear shifts to reduce strain on the hub, however it works while pedaling too. The chain needs to be degreased of cosmoline from shipping and then greased with chain lube/wax. Tires get inflated to 43 psi. My front tube was leaking so I contacted Schwinn and they sent a new one (lifetime defect warranty). For registration the serial number is on the bottom of the frame where the pedal cranks attach. There is a production date sticker on the downtube, a picture of that is required for a warranty claim as well. The bike rides great for a cruiser. The 3 speed is a must in my opinion if you ride consistently. Most of the time riding in the neighborhood is in 1 and 2 but if you really want to be an HOA rocketeer click it down to 3 and blast off. The tires do really well on pavement and grass. They are 26x2.125 should you want to replace them or need a new tube. The kickstand is stiff at first but loosens up after a few uses. The seat is firm but liveable, better than other cruisers I've tried. The coaster brake works well. The handle bar grips are comfortable and a good size. Nothing feels flimsy like it will break over time. I believe I read another review where the pedal crank bearings failed, you should never put your full weight or stand on the pedals as this will destroy the bearings. ... show more

    • Cheap bike—you pay for what you get

Just a cheap basic bike you are paying for. If you are okay and understand this; you should not have any complaints. Worth adding, what an awful time you will encounter with assembly. The instructions don’t even match the bike wow and LOL! Also Schwinn’s website has a video but it totally skips over some of the most important parts, thus I was left to become Bob Villa and construct the bike without ANY INSTRUCTIONS. That’s a SHAME. I would not recommend. I want my money back, but don’t feel like doing whatever is required to ship it back—what a mess! ... show more

    • Patience while assembling

I got the Huron 7 speed to ride around the neighborhood with my daughter.. so not expecting to need much speed or go off road with it. I do like the looks, I was worried about how I'd feel riding this type of bike, but I made the decision that comfort is the most important thing when choosing a bike and it seems to fit the bill. The all black bike does look quite tough.. and its a bit larger than I was expecting (I saw somewhere it was a medium size) So first off, for all the various complaints I read in the reviews, this bike is made in china and you can probably expect the manufacturing quality to be less than ideal. While the bike is robust, there are some weak points (fenders & spokes) that are vulnerable to damage during shipping. I read a review that said the seat was scratched on arrival. I also thought mine was scratched but it was like some sort of silicone that just rubbed off. The instructions are for various models, so definitely some common sense is required to assemble. Both of my fenders required some straightening for them to fit correctly and not rub. Both brakes were also pre-assembled and required some loosening so they wouldn't rub the rim when not engaged. Getting the front tire on requires the front brake to be disassembled. I chose to remove the brake pads and was able to get them back on pretty easily. Everything was ok until it was time to install the seat. The seat is the last thing that gets put on and by then I'd say I was ready to be done with the assembly process. However, the welds inside the seat shaft of the bike frame had some rather large burrs that prevented the seat from going in. In retrospect, maybe I should have tried to knock them off with a screwdriver, but since I don't have a file in my tool box I made the decision to just hammer it down. It worked out ok, but there is definitely no adjusting the seat back up ever on my bike... which Id say is worth a star deduction. My advice is when you begin the assembly process, expect to run into obstacles, be patient, take a pause if needed and don't rush to finish. After owning this bike for a while now I will say that the kick stand is too tall. I tried adjusting it by bending it outward and it did not help. The bike will sometimes fall over if there is wind due to the upright position on the kick stand. My neighbors who also have kids and ride bikes w us call it the "bougie bike" because its definitely a looker. Makes a bit of a rubbing noise at each revolution while riding.. cant figure out why, but doesn't seem to hinder performance. I would have preferred the handles to be 90 degrees, not this weird hand position that is bothersome on long rides. ... show more
