I've been trying to bump up my "safety game" around the house and this set of smoke detector alarms fits the bill. Geting 6 in one box -- at a really reasonable price point -- meant I could put one in all of the rooms in my house, as well as right above the door coming in from the garage. They were so easy to set up, and I just love that they run on 2 AA batteries instead of those very expensive 9V ones. We'll see how long they last, but even if I had to replace them twice a year it's a cost savings. They're much smaller than the ones I replaced, which is another plus because they don't stick out like a sore thumb. Even though they're small the sound is nice and loud and they seem to be solidly made. I would definitely recommend.

The media could not be loaded. This is a photoelectric smoke detector six-pack and it couldn’t be easier to use or install. Take it out of the box, insert the two included AAA batteries (no annoying 9-volt batteries), and you’re ready to go. Mounting is very simple. Use the included mounting bracket, mark the holes with a pencil, install the screws, and twist the detector onto the bracket — it powers on immediately. No complicated setup or frustration. Testing is just as easy. Press the button once and it beeps. Press it again and it stops. No holding buttons, no guessing, and no unnecessary noise like older detectors. If you have older smoke detectors, this is a great upgrade — especially since they should be replaced every 10 years anyway. Simple design, easy installation, and stress-free operation. Excellent product.

Easy to install. Uses regular batteries so you don’t have to get 9volt batteries that we usually don’t keep. When we bought this house we found out a year later there wasn’t one working smoke alarm. These are small and look good.

Pack of six smoke detectors arrived on time and as described. They are smaller than my other smoke detectors and less obtrusive, which was great since we wanted to put them in rooms in our home that didn't previously have smoke detectors. With the provided batteries the detectors all tested fine (VERY loud!) and installed on the wall with the included screws and drywall anchors. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. Hopefully they never get used for-real, but they seem solid and hopefully dependable. The one thing I regret was not using a level to install the backplate (that's totally on me, se picture).
