It went over my medium brown hair very well and stayed in my hair a while probably a good month month and a half of really good color before it was pretty faded and my roots were showing a good amount which is very good in my opinion for red especially over brown hair. I love all of the Schwarzkopf colors🥰.. I've also used the metallics. It doesn't strain the shower and if you get any on your skin it comes off with rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball. For years, I've been getting Schwarzkopf 5.29 auto-shipped every six weeks. It's the prettiest red I've ever found in a box. And unlike all the reds that I've tried at hair salons, this one doesn't fade away completely in a couple of weeks. The color is beautiful! The pics do not do it justice. Easy to mix and use. I left it on for mins for all over color. (Use rubbing alcohol if you get it on your skin) One bottle coved all my hair, and it's to the middle of my back. It dries a bit while processing. It took a good 15 minutes of rinsing to remove the color, and it still didn't run completely clear, slight orange still rinses out. (But red color always does that on me) No chemical smell at all, it doesn't sting or irritate my scalp. The after color conditioner is amazing. I used the entire tube and let sit for 5 minutes. My hair shined, and smelled so good!!! I have a perm, the color didn't damage my hair. MOST IMPORTANTLY IT COVERS GRAY HAIR 100%!!!! This is the ONLY color I've used that actually works!! I just used it, so I can't speak to how long it stays bright and shiny. This is my new hair color. It works and it works GREAT!! The color choices are awesome, their not all the dull boring colors... UPDATE So it’s been 5 weeks since I colored my hair. The color still looks vibrant and shiny. My grays are growing back in, so I’m going to use just on my roots this time.
