I’ll start off by saying if you’re thinking about getting this, then don’t hesitate. Prior to purchasing my personal one, we used these in my work both for our fleet cars and also outdoor vending events. They handle jump starting and pumping air into tires well. I’ve literally used this thing to power a party block speaker from SoCal to Vegas w. Used it to inflate camping beds, power string lights and charge laptops. I consider this a necessity. That being said. It is a heavy unit as it uses a sealed lead acid battery around 20AH. It’s reliable. It is about the size and weight of a 2 gallon pack of milk (lol). I have transferred this unit from a jeep, to a suburban and now my super compact daily driver that has very limited space. But I’m my opinion it is worth it. It is also very user friendly. Placing the clamps on the battery will show you the voltage, turning the starter switch will show you the boost it gives the battery, wait till is over 12v and give it a go. Built in LED helps for nighttime use. Incorporated usb port is always handy. Oh yeah also this thing is built pretty robust. It’s taken a beating and keeps ticking. Works good not as nice as my old one but better than my dewalt w stupid buzzer making noise So to update I went to use the 12 bolt power source (like a cigarette lighter port. ). They are empty . There’s no way to get power from them . I’d never tried that function before and I’ve had it quite a while but I was amazed to find out there was no way to ground in the receptacles . Did I get a lower unit that didn’t have this feature? Or was it a MFG mistake? I really don’t know. ... show more

    • Good and reliable
I've had this for 4 years and still jumps my v8 and I use it to run hotspot on the go. The only knock would be the head for the air pump. It is a twist on. If I were to pump the tires on a kids bike, by the time I twist the head off the bike the tire would loose quite a bit of pressure.

I am taking the time to do this review. Because i didn't know so maybe others don't know. I bought this used but in mint condition. To me Mint Condition is actually that. We i received the charger it was charged to 100% I had it afew months snd not until we list power did i find out even though it says 100% charged it is not charged. One woukd assume they would check this out. The DC does not work at all. Because it is used there is no warranty. I would not suggest buying this product. At the time i bought it .It didn't say it had a high return. Like i said it said it was in MINT CONDITION which is a lie ... show more

    • Jump starter, battery, air compressor, tire inflation, electrical source, small appliance power (cell phone, lights, computer).
I've just bought my second Schumacher 1200A Power Station which I use mostly for it's compressor to pump up tires. Whole lot more convenient than going to a gas station, when a tire is very low. This will save you a lot of time for a slow leak, where you can use "fix a flat", them fill tire enough to get the tire fixed. The Jump Starter is adequate only for cars, not a heavy duty truck or other big engine vehicle (350cc or larger). The air compressor is very adequate for my large engine truck tires. When you receive it, they recommend keeping the charge connected for 36 hours, just to have it full strength. An automatic internal switch shuts off any overcharging. And re-charge it, after each use. There is a display of how full your charge. Keep it pushed back up to 100% after each use (which I've failed to do a couple times), but my first 1200A unit will still hold a charge for all twelve of my vehicle tires. It has plug-in sockets to charge your cell phone & keep your computer & TV going during power outage... ... show more

Allready used it on truck, and tractor batteries works good all other functions like air compressor, light, USB charging, and a little bit of 120v ac current are great, some things that draw high amps won't work on inverted 120v ac mode but all considered really good price point for the product you get ... show more
