I got these to use for some wiring that I was going to be running through an outer wall of my home. It's a nice assortment for about any job requiring a smaller hole that needs plugged. I used an exacto knife to cut a cross shape in the middle and to feed my wires through and it closed around the wires just fine. Oddly enough, I found a use for them that I did not expect. Cutting the cross in the middle, I fed my eyeglasses ear pieces through some smaller grommets and slid them up to where they would hold my eyeglasses in place.     • You may have to make your hole that you are plugging a little larger to fit the next size up..
I used these to plug the holes on the inside of the fenders of my 67 VW bug that had been drilled to adjust the carbs. They will keep the dirt and water out of the Engine compartment and easier to adjust in the future.
