My old hand vac stopped charging, so I went looking for better one. I found this one, really good specs and decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed; this one work's great. First off, it charges fast and stays charged while I am using it too. The suction power is nice where it picks up not only the little pieces but the larger ones too. Secondly, very easy to maintain. One push button, it comes apart and dump in the trash which I really like the no mess on this one. I really like the filter where it is the low maintenance non-paper type, very easy to clean with just blowing it out with my air gun. If no air gun, brushing it off would probably work too. Lastly, I really like the attachments. The hose provides a nice length, the brush end is also nice for the hard-to-reach places. Comes with a nice bag, very well made, and holds everything perfectly.     • Approach with realistic expectations…!!!
Any time I purchase a “Dustbuster“ (a throwback to those who lived the 80’s.. that’s what we all called a handheld vac!) I always seem to have high expectations- and that plays a part of my disappointment.. these aren’t “tiny vacuums” with the same capacity and if you (or maybe it should say I) realize that- you’ll be far happier with the results! This is shaped with a nose to get into tight places which I like- attachments take over where nose cannot reach.. TBH, I like the wedge crevice wand.. not the biggest fan of the hose.. it feels cheap and can crush in on itself so be careful! Truly, the wedge attachment can do it all in the tightest the places. Loving this has a “real” storage bag for all its parts or to keep it contained in the car- it’s a must and huge bonus.. this zip bag is built with integrity! The “cradle” doesnt need to be drilled into wall taking up an electrical outlet.. smart!! Instead you can charge via included cord next too outlet or hang it by other means that aren’t permanent! Big perk if using in a dorm, apartment, any non-permanent scenario.. cigarette lighter cord is great when using to detail car.. remember realistic expectations?! This can pick up crumbs, gum wrapper but.. depending on ground in dirt or pet hair- its a little less productive. Filter is reusable/washable being metal! *Be sure to dry any/all washed parts to avoid moisture causing mildew smells! Canister is a little annoying to empty- it feels oddly placed to create an extra step to empty. I do appreciate see-thru color lets you know when it needs clean out.. truth be told, it’s best to empty after each use. Battery life is good- any job I’ve used it for has kept its strength of suction no prob. As for suction: it can pick up a ball point pen.. but not dog hair!? It sucked up a dime, a solid piece of paper- yet, gave me grief on a silly crumpled up straw wrapper dropped between the seats!? I believe it’s all about angle + connection nose can make with an object- which circles me back to having realistic expectations!!Noise is noisy, but not deafening in any capacity.. a lot like actual vacuum- no worse! Not too heavy- fits grip decent.. you only use for short spans so not a big issue. higher price at $65- if it lasts it may be worth top $.. using less vs. more it should! A 120-watt mini-vac is 1/10 the wattage of a regular plug-in vac. Let’s not expect miracles. Good for tiny messes, not deep cleaning your stair carpet or your car's floor mats. Compared to Black & Decker BDH2020FL (which I consider the gold standard), this is maybe 60% of the vacuum for 60% of the price. It makes more sense. Smaller, lighter, and you don’t feel as stupid when you pitch it after 5 years. (Why do mini-vacs not accept replacement batteries? See Note 1.) Shop around: The same vac currently sold under multiple brands. (There is no branding on the vac, the User Manual, or the box.) PROs: - Hose attachment. Essential for various tight spaces. (12" x 1” Inside diameter) - Crevice tool (1/2” x 1” tip...use with or without hose) - Stainless steel filter. Washable, should last forever. - 2 speed. Low is easier on the battery and your ears. - Semi-transparent dirt chamber - Looks and feels like pretty good quality…especially the molded polycarbonate 'snout.' OKs: - Reasonably quiet, not piercing. - The suction and air volume seem quite reasonable for this size vac. - No charging stand. Hang it easily from a coat hook (More space efficient, less troublesome...but you do have to insert the cord each time you charge.) - Handle works ok for small or large hands, but ergonomics is not ideal. - Small dirt chamber. Probably about 1-cup. - Emptying the dirt chamber is not hard, not super easy. - Charges with standard USB-C connector, BUT it must be a USB-A to USB-C cable (18” cable provided). Your C-to-C Power Delivery cable will not work. - The hose is cheap polyethylene. Not horrible…not the best. - Charge status indicator (red or green). - Comes with two USB-A chargers 120v AC (10-watt), and 12-volt car charger (12 watt). - The tiny light can be helpful in rare situations. - User manual: Helpful, confusing, incomplete (See Note 2). - Warranty: Amazon listing states 1-year. Q&A from merchant says "3-year, including batteries." User Manual says 2-year if you “email support@sealon365.com to activate.” You might wonder who is going to actually take care of you down the road. CONs: - No major CONS so far. - - - Notes - - - Note 1: They all use size 18650 Li Ion batteries. Why is every manufacturer so clueless and shortsighted? When the batteries degrade, you’re supposed to disassemble the vac, bring the batteries to God knows where, and pitch the vac into a landfill. Note 2: The manual covers some useful basics and some specs that are absent from the Amazon listing. Such as: Battery: 2200mAh. Motor: 120 watts. ... show more
