    • The size is wrong and the bar was not made correctly.

This bar is advertised as 18" wide from end to end. Mine was 17.5, so I could not use this to replace an 18" towel bar. Also, the bar could not be mounted correctly since the mounting plates are not on the same plane - if one is flat, the other sticks up 1/4".

It's a nice idea but doesn't quite work. The tubing is not as large as the picture would have you believe and the material that it is made of is pretty flimsy. I do not believe that it would hold up very long with continued use because of the amount of flexing when weight is applied. I like the functionality, killing two birds with one stone. But if you need the bar to support your weight it feels questionable. If the description stated that it was for light weight or infrequent use they wouldn't get as many sales but would be more truthful. At least that is my take on it. ... show more

Out of the box, this bar impresses with its weight. One important thing to keep in mind is for sturdiness and longevity, this needs to be mounted into a stud. Simple drywall mounts will not hold up over time due to the weight of the bar itself and the added pressure of it being used over time. The addition of a TP holder just adds to the coolness factor of this bar. Installation can be complicated if you're not familiar with how to properly use drywall anchors (again, not recommended), and this isn't very comfortable to hold onto due to the nature of the metal used. The inclusion of a soft sleeve to go around the handle would be nice ,but it's not a deal killer. Because of its functionality, I can highly recommend this bar. ... show more
