I’m very disappointed with the quality of this product. The images in the box are misleading, the colors are not as advertised. The drawing dissolves after a couple of seconds. The marker that it came with stained the board.

We have used these for years as a travel activity due to its size and lightweight. Prefer this to putting my kiddo in front of a tablet or DVD player. She draws or practices her words and letters. My toddler played and played with this magna doodle until it accidentally got stepped on and broke. It's the perfect size for in the car or to put in a backpack for travel. The stamps are fun however they could pose a choking hazard even for a 3 year old if they like to put things in their mouth. I took the magnet shapes because my kiddo likes to chew on things. The lines aren't super clean when you draw I think that's just how these things tend to work no matter which brand. The surface holds up to rough play. It's easy to erase and unlike the LCD tablets it doesn't use a button battery or any battery at all so you don't have to worry about your child swallowing one. I would rate it 5 stars for what it is, except those magnetic shapes are really not that safe. Maybe fine for an older kid or supervised use only. Classic kids item! I remember having one as a kid and now as I frantically look for busy activities for travel for my toddler, this was the perfect idea. Definitely took out the small shape magnets - he’ll get those when he’s 10 ;) it is large for my 18-month old but he will grow into it!
