    • Great for Gaming! , Write Speed Could Be Faster!
Size: 128 GB
Update 7/27/2020: I have continued to use the Samsung Fit USB 3.1 drives as my now "go to" flash drives of choice, I have purchased several of these in various sizes including 32GB, 64GB, 128 and even 256, (and more than 1 of each in most of these sizes). These drives have performed well in my vehicle, my laptop and most importantly my gaming desktop. In fact I have been able to play several older AAA (top rated graphics) games directly from these flash drives without any performance lag and actually performance increase in most cases, but a word of caution they DO GET HOT, like MOST flash media (including SSD drives) so I have found a way to manually "cool" my entire USB hub by using a cheap desktop fan purchased from Amazon! For all the people who say that these drives are cutting off and not being recognized, I restate my point above 1) heat from your usb hub or device "may" be the issue 2) You have to make sure that you have AT LEAST A USB 3.0 port or higher, most newer motherboards and even cars have this and some have USB 3.2 (blazing fast). 3) I have a much older gaming rig that is still amazingly going strong but I have updated it with USB 3.0 ports via a PC Express adapter (sold off Amazon). 4) If you are going to use these for a USB 2.0 port device or lower then just stick with a cheaper flash drive like Transcend or Sandisk that will probably actually perform better on an older (USB 2.0) device, and yes the write speed is about half as fast as the READ speed, I get about 190 MB read, and only about 50 MB write (Crystal Disk Mark), but that still smokes most older Hard Drives. Just my updated opinion! I bought this drive to use with a USB 3.0 port card installed on a older computer and as a supplement to another 32 GB Samsung Fit I was already using to speed up my system (Windows Readyboost). As long as you have USB 3.0 or 3.1 ports on your computer, or an adapter card installed you can get close to 200 Mb/s read speeds, using Crystal Disk Mark I got READ speeds at 189 mb/s and WRITE speeds at 46 Mb/s, (on PEAK Performance Test). mind you these speeds are still faster than my Seagate FireCuda Hybrid SSHD drive and any of my old WD classic hard drives (on my system ), but they wouldn't be faster than a built in SSD. As far as gaming I've been able to run most smaller games (less than 10 GB ) off of this drive no problem, this works well for many of those 2D and mini 3D games that you can find off the Steam Store and other places. However, I've tried to run some older AAA Title games like Far Cry off this drive and while it did load much faster than running it off my built in hard drive, it lead to game crashes and system reboots, but the problem could be that my Motherboard is to dated to handle those large data streams coming in from the PCI port ( its not even PCI 3.0 I think Installed USB 3.0 port, not built in). Overall though solid performance so far and with the faster speeds of these "cheap" USB drives as a gamer or maybe even some light video editing, these drives are a good alternative to eating up internal hard drive space! So far very impressed and so much that its convinced me to purchase a Samsung T5 external SSD, I definitely think SSD is the future of storage and with USB 3.1 Gen 2 the speeds are supposed to get ridiculous (side note) but I definitely think that these drives perform better for opening programs and doing gaming, and may be able to breathe life into an older system, providing you have at least USB 3.0, with 2.0 I wouldn't bother because the read and write speeds wouldn't show any major improvements. ... show more

    • Reliable USB Drives with Solid Performance – But Very Small!
Size: 64 GB
Review Image by DigitalGuy DigitalGuy
Review Image by DigitalGuy DigitalGuy
I purchased both the 64GB and 128GB versions of these USB drives for use as Windows recovery drives, storing Macrium Reflect Windows PE environments, and saving Macrium drive images. Overall, they performed well in testing. I ran full CrystalDiskMark tests on all ten drives (five of each size), and results were consistent overall. The 64GB drives averaged around 150 MB/s read and 40 MB/s write, while the 128GB drives reached approximately 180 MB/s read and 60 MB/s write. All ten drives passed H2TestW with no errors, confirming their integrity. The 128GB drives handled large file transfers well, and none of the drives overheated or throttled during use. There were a couple of downsides. Two of the 64GB drives showed slight variations in write speeds—not a dealbreaker but worth noting. The biggest issue for me is their extremely compact size. While that makes them great for portability, they can be difficult to grip and remove, especially if used frequently. If size is a concern, I found case extensions for the FIT Plus available on the electronic bay that might help. If you need reliable, fast, and compact USB drives for backups, recovery tools, or general storage, these are a solid choice. Just be aware that the small size might not be for everyone. ... show more

    • Great quality, Works well
Size: 128 GB
For the size and the price, this is a great little USB drive. It's got good speeds, has worked on every device I've tried, and isn't like one of those USB drives that gets stuck in the port because it's too large. The metal feels high quality, and it never gets too hot. If you want a compact drive, get this one, but if you want to save some money and aren't concerned about size, get one of their larger ones with the same, or even higher capacity. ... show more

    • Great Storage Solution for My Sony Smart TV (With a Bit of Setup)
Size: 128 GB
I bought the Samsung FIT Plus USB 3.1 (128GB) to expand the storage on my Sony Smart TV with Google TV (Android). I was constantly running out of space, and it became impossible to update or install new apps without deleting others. This flash drive has been a lifesaver, but it did take a bit of tweaking to get it working right. Setting it up wasn’t as simple as just plugging it in—I had to go into the developer options in my TV’s settings to get it recognized as app storage. After that, everything went smoothly. I was able to move all my apps over to the flash drive, and now I have plenty of space. Updates are no longer an issue, and my apps run just as well as they did on the internal storage. The compact size of this drive is a huge plus—it’s so small that once it’s plugged in, you barely notice it’s there. It’s perfect for a TV setup where you don’t want anything bulky hanging off the back. If you’re comfortable going into your TV’s settings and need more storage, I definitely recommend this flash drive. It’s fast, reliable, and once it’s set up, it works perfectly. Pros: Expanded my TV’s storage and solved all my space issues Compact and low-profile design No noticeable difference in app performance Cons: Requires going into developer settings to set it up properly ... show more
