  • Great for Those Familiar with Samsung TVs
Style: Freestyle Only
I'm new to projectors (this is my first) and I'm pretty satisfied with this purchase. The projector is small and light and with an external battery, will make for a good portable option. For my usage, this projector will mainly stay in my bedroom. The included power cord is sufficiently long. Set up was remarkably easy; pretty much plug and play. If you've owned a Samsung smart TV you'll be familiar with the setup. I actually got this projector specifically because I wanted a similar experience with the TV in my living room. I also liked that the set up can be done with your phone using the SmartThings app; however, setting it up through the app kept failing and I ended up using the remote. After set up, SmartThings integration has ran smoothly. I appreciate the hot keys on the remote that let you go directly to three streaming services and Samsung's channels, but I wish those keys could be customized. The picture is bright and clear; my room has very effective blackout blinds so that definitely helps. I was planning on buying a Sonos audio bar, but the speakers on this projector is more than enough. The keystone correction could be better; the auto keystone didn't quite get it right so I still had to manually adjust the picture, but the picture still seems slightly crooked. I've tried everything to get it straight, but haven't been able to level it out. It's not noticeable once something is playing, but on startup or when looking at the main menu screen, it's obvious my picture is crooked and it's hard to ignore. Despite the hiccup during setup and the slightly askew picture, I'm still very happy with my purchase. I was never one to have a TV in the bedroom, but the idea of a projector screen that I could hide when not in use (I have a wall mounted wireless screen custom ordered) that wouldn't detract from the aesthetic of my bedroom became an attractive thought. With the screen, this projector is like having an even larger TV in my bedroom than I have in my living room. Being able to control the projector with the phone and access my other smart devices with this projector is even greater when laying in bed. This projector has made my bedroom easily my favorite room in the house! While researching projectors, I was initially just looking for a reliable brand that had built in streaming apps. I stumbled on this one, and being a Samsung TV fan, took a chance despite its less than stellar reviews. I would definitely recommend this to someone who's newish to the projector scene or who enjoys Samsung's UI. The clear picture and installed apps makes this a clear choice. ... show more

  • Could be better but works for me
Style: Freestyle Only
So far the pros I have seen is the versatility it has vs some of the competitors. The auto focus is touch and go sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. To fix it you just turn it off and turn it back on. The speakers are not bad but not good either, they compare to 75$ Samsung speakers. If you don’t care about the specs as much as some people then go for it however there’s another projector that I want to try vs this one ... show more

  • Pro's and con's December on 2022
Style: Freestyle Only
I received this product in perfect condition very quickly. I'm happy with it. I have only 1 complaint and several compliments. My only complaint is, I purchased this projector on Amazon for $597. The next day it was one hundred dollars cheaper on Amazon. I wanted to cancel the order and reorder it to recover the $100. But I didn't do that because it would be unethical. Compliments: 1. Compatibility. I own a galaxy note 8+, 10+, 20 ultra and 22 ultra. The projector is compatible with all my Samsung phones and tablets. 2. Smart TV. I have Amazon PRIME, Apple movies and TV shows, YouTube premium, and more for streaming services. Additionally the Samsung channel is a bonus. The App works flawlessly. The smart TV functionality built into the projector is a good idea... 3. Connectivity. The 5.2 Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Samsung Dex works well. 4. Functionality. The 180 degrees pivot is adequate. The 360 degrees speakers are adequate as well. The keystone projection is ok. The 1080p resolution is good. The hdmi port works well. The brightness is good in a dark room. 5. Software Updates. Since January 2022 several software updates have fixed some issues that are reported on in the YouTube reviews. Unfortunately the reviewers did not provide subsequent reviews to correct theirs misgivings. ... show more

  • All in all, I'm happy with it.
Style: Freestyle Only
Pros: * Built-in streaming apps for Disney+, Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, YouTubeTV....all your standard major players. * Durable little unit you can throw in the case and haul around in your backpack * The auto-keystone/color adjustment works better than I'd have guessed. * Runs from my Anker PowerHouse * Hidden tripod mount Cons: * Pricey * Performance is meh, could use a faster processor * The included base could be more functional * NOT short throw For the most part, I'm happy with this projector....When I first unboxed it, I was feeling a little buyer's remorse; we were looking for a larger-screen option for the 40" (maybe 42?) you see in the side-by-side pic. That photo, by the way, was taken mid-afternoon with regular window shades (not blackout curtains) down, against a light gray-green painted wall. So pretty solid display in those conditions. Absolutely watchable, and it gets better as the room gets darker. The first problem that jumped out, was the lack of flexibility with the stand they included. There was no tripod attachment, as one might expect. After a couple of days, I took the included stand off, thinking I'd try to drill through it and add a tripod mount....but it turns out, the stand is connected on both sides with plastic anchors driven into standard tripod-mount holes. I just attached a 1/4" swivel ball tripod mount to the hole opposite the power cable, then put that on a tripod, and it works great. Second, this is not a short throw projector. I knew that going in, but I still hoped I'd be able to get a decent sized image within a couple of feet. That's on me; "hope" is not a documented feature. The portability, built-in apps, and easy setup make up for it, though; I'm not using this projector the way I expected to, but I am still having fun with it....It works against the garage door, or the concrete wall in the back yard, and I can toss it in the bag with my computer if I need to project something for work. I probably won't replace that TV with it, but -- other than the price tag -- I don't regret buying it. I got the case for free with the preorder; the case is solidly built but a dumb design, but that's a separate review (https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R45KWI7LNMDEH/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B09NWLFGCS). ... show more
