This wood chipper is compact and effective. It took a few hours, between two days. Patience is required due to its feeder size. Twisted branches are a challenge, but doable. I had to clear the build up a few times. Overall, I’m pleased with the purchase.

This does not chip branches like a gas powered model, but it also does not cost "like" a gas model. Yes, it got stuck a few times on large, green branches, but it works incredibly well for branches that get blown off my sycamore tree during windy days.

Assembly of this is very straightforward. He simply have to add on the wheels and the wheel frame along with the axle that holds the wheels. The key, however is you must assemble the wheel frame with the axle first before assembling it to the back of the unit or else you can’t get the axle in between the two frames. Comes with six bolts, one for each will and two for each will frame. Also comes with a tool needed to tighten the bolts. If you assemble in the correct order by attaching the axle to the wheel frames first, and then attaching the wheels to the wheel axles, and then last connect it to the back of the unit, installation will take approximately 10 minutes. The wheels roll very nicely on the unit very easy to maneuver around. There is a big knob on the back of the unit near the top that allows you to unscrew the top and lower it down by its hinges in the front in order to get to the blades should you have a clog or need to change the blade. Also cones with a large plastic push tool so you never have to put your hands inside the shoot. Simply use the large push tool to finish, pushing the debris or branches down into the unit. Also, the opening has rubber flaps to help minimize debris from flying back up towards you. There’s a sticker on the unit that says the maximum cut diameter is 45 mm (which is 1.77 inches in diameter). Also, there is a piece of white plastic inside the plug. You will need to remove and discard this before operation. The cord on the unit is only about 18 inches long. You will need a drop cord to use with this unit.

I really love this little Saker electric wood chipper shredder. It might look small, but it’s got plenty of power to handle branches and clippings with no problem. I tossed some decent-sized limbs through it, and it chewed them up just fine, as long as you don’t push anything too thick. The double-sided blade cuts clean and fast, and it doesn’t bog down easily. I like that it comes with a collection bag too, keeps the yard tidy while I’m working. Setup was simple and it’s lightweight enough to move around the yard without much effort. It’s quiet compared to gas models and perfect for small to medium cleanup jobs. Definitely worth having if you want to keep your yard looking clean without dragging out heavy equipment.
