This thing works great. So much room! Instalation was easy. The rubber grip mat helps hold it in place and protects the roof from scratches. It fit perfectly between the roof rails on the 2018 Subaru Impreza. Drove 900 miles and this didn't budge at all! Went through torrential rain and it remained perfectly waterproof. It has the straps to connect to the roof rails, a rack, or if you don't have rails, it has hooks you can attach under the insulation in the door sills. The lower profile front side really helps it be more aerodynamic. It did not produce near as much wind resistance as our old hard topper and it folds up into the provided bag, about the size of a paper grocery bag.. Overall, very satisfied!

This carrier worked great on our 16 hour roadtrip from Nebraska to Corpus Christi, TX. It held two medium suitcases, 1 large suitcase, and 3-4 smaller beach bags and that was about the max we could fit in it, but that was perfect for our trip! Our car doesn’t have rails on the roof, so we used the door hooks and two ratchet straps just for a little extra security and that worked perfect. It rained pretty hard twice on our drive and one of the door hooks did make it drip a little inside (which could be user error), but everything inside the carrier was completely dry! In my option this is definitely worth the money!

Purchased and used a few times now. The overall design is good and the quality of the fabric is great. No problem holding our load (I also purchased a no slip mat for it to sit on). Install was quick and simple and putting it back into the carry bag was easy to put back in storage. As only a little water got in during very heavy rain while driving, only the items in the front and on the bottom would have gotten wet (I wrapped my vulnerable items in plastic trash bags) there was no real issue for me. I'll keep using it, and barring heavy rains, I don't foresee any issues in the future! Feels like this product will last years.

Have used this from Tennessee to Jersey and back several times packed. It held up with snow and rain and for me and my experience waterproof. Offered protection of my stuff. It’s functionally of ease of use I like. I can attach it myself with a step ladder. The zipper hold up well. The only complaint is the holes on zipper for the lock. They are not big/wide enough for a sturdier lock. I had to buy the smallest lock to get to fit.

Ignore the naysayers. This carrier works great! I used it on my 2017 Kia Soul and drove nearly 4000 miles. This thing didn’t budge. I think the people who’ve had problems 1) didn’t properly install in the first place and 2) failed to periodically tighten the straps. Follow the installation instructions and check your straps each morning. There were also complaints about this carrier not being water resistant, but I strongly disagree! We experienced a few rain showers without issue. But, our big test was getting sprayed with diesel fuel by an 18-wheeler with a serious fuel leak. This happened while driving beside the truck on the interstate. I quickly went to a self-serve car wash and sprayed off the entire car, including the carrier, with a high-pressure hose. None of our luggage was doused with fuel or got wet from the high-pressure hose! Bottom line, I highly recommend this carrier and even managed to get it folded back into its storage bag.

The storage in this thing is amazing. We were able to fit almost our entire camp set up inside. The material feels very durable, the zipper is thick and doesn't snag on the fabric or tear it. GREAT value for the price. Didn't test in rain but the product did not have any holes so I don't think it would leak easily. We drive a Toyota Corolla without racks and the straps sit nicely inside the doors and the car didn't feel overly weighed down, just make sure you check your tire pressure after loading everything in.
