  • [Bionic Automatic Egg Turning] Gently turns eggs every 2 hours, just like a mother bird, to prevent yolk sticking and increase hatch success. The turning stops automatically 3 days before the set hatch date to protect embryos during the critical lockdown phase. (If you notice turning has stopped, please check your countdown setting this is normal before hatch.)
  • [Integrated Candler & 360 View] A highbrightness builtin egg candler lets you check embryo development anytime without a separate flashlight. Combined with the fullview transparent dome, you can witness life growing from day 1. Holds 12 chicken/duck eggs or up to 24 quail/small eggs.

  • Seems simple and straightforward for beginner use
So far so good, haven’t added eggs yet (they’re settling from shipment), and initial calibration was a little tricky- had to set to manual initially so incubator would go back to factory settings, it wouldn’t turn on otherwise. So far it’s been on for five hours and is holding temp and humidity steadily in a 68 degree room. Motor test and candler light are functional. Will be placing some shipped eggs and some of my own, will update with hatch result later as I am a first timer using an incubator. So far it is simple and straightforward to use aside from having to calibrate it manually. ... show more

  • An ok incubator if you get add ons
This is an ok incubator. It looks nice for sure. It does not have calibration capabilities. This means that it determines what temperature is to be off of a programmed internal script that assumes certain temperatures surrounding it. If your temperatures fall outside of that script, you're in trouble and won't do well. However, that is a problem with a whole lot of cheaper incubators and not just this one. I know how to fix this problem though. I have these bluetooth sensors that are about the size of an egg but square (and a dusky blue) another I have heard good things about starts with gov. I have several of these and want to get more as soon as money allows- they are gods gift to hatchers. If you get these and put one in the incubator, it will tell you the actual temperature (don't trust the readout on this incubator, or any incubator solely- right now this one is set at 99.5 and that is what the incubator says it is on the readout, my sensor says it is 95 degrees right now in a 79 degree house). In this way, with this incubator, or any incubator you can know what the temperature actually is and once you know that you can make it all work without losing your mind. You adjust the temp up or down on the incubator as needed till the add on sensor tells you it is right and you're good. This is the major problem with most incubators, and especially less expensive ones. They are programmed to a script that may or may not match your conditions today, tomorrow or next month as your conditions around it change. As someone that has hatched for 20 years now and did all the fussing and all the sleepless nights trying to wrangle an incubator into a proper temp so I didn't lose the hatch- do as I say and save yourself the trauma. The most important part is not the incubator, it is the device that tells you what temp and humidity you're looking at. With the sensor I can make a cardboard box work if I had to. More expensive incubators allow you to calibrate, which is telling the incubator what the temps actually are and the incubator goes with what you tell it, much better, but you still need a sensor to know what to tell the incubator and might as well keep it in there to know in case things have changed enough to throw off the incubator (then you recalibrate). Also on this one you can only adjust temp when in manual mode, so you'll have to run it in manual...don't even bother with the presets to count days for you...you can count days, you don't need it. This is a nice, inexpensive incubator. The fan is on the top portion. the bottom portion contains the turner which is one that I am a fan of. There is a cord from the underside of the bottom that you plug in to the back of the top to have the turner work, unplug to stop it..very easy. The water reservoir is in the middle of the bottom. That round part that the turner is on, inside is mostly water holding around a sealed shaft. There is not alot of capacity so you'll have to add water daily but I love the outside port to put it in there, that helps during hatch...nifty. Also, if you're looking for an incubator that does everything automatically, such a thing does not exist...not yet anyway. I can count, I don't need an incubator to do that for me. I know what is the right temperature to maintain..all I need is to be able to tell the incubator that and have it keep that temp. I can monitor and add water as needed. And I can stop the turner at the appropriate day, I don't need an incubator to do that either. If you are having trouble having it maintain the proper temp in a cooler situation, run it INSIDE the included foam packaging and maybe toss a thick washcloth over the top to insulate it and help keep the temps steadier. Incubators tend to do better when insulated more from the outside temps. It can be made to work, but just don't trust it by itself. All this to say that I got it as a special needs temporary brooder for chicks/eggs that have a problem at hatch and need to be in a hospital situation temporarily to put on top of my big incubator. It will work GREAT for that. ... show more

  • Decent little incubator! Decent little incubator!
Why did you pick this product vs others?: This is a great little incubator. It was straightforward to use and comes with instructions to help you if you’re new to hatching eggs! Temperature held quite well and the humidity was appropriate. Hatch rate was similar to our more expensive brand incubators (about 75-85% success rate). It’s a cute incubator and great for small batch hatching! It’s probably also beginner friendly because of its size. I’d definitely recommend this! I was quite pleased! ... show more

  • Nice size but has issues
This is a nice sized little incubator that just isn't quite working for me. The instructions say the room temperature in which the incubator is placed should be 74°F-80°F and if the temperature drops below 72°F to use the styrofoam cover. Since the room temperature here is below their preferred operating temperature, I placed the incubator in the styrofoam package it came in. I am used to the old styrofoam incubators so this doesn't bother me, but there arent any real viewing openings in the styrofoam to monitor the contents. There is a little space above the control panel, a small gap mostly occupied by the vent and a tiny opening by the water filler port. It is very difficult to see inside to determine if the turner is working, meaning the styrofoam cover has to be lifted to do a quick check. As far as temperature goes, the reading on my trusty thermometer/hygrometer combo I use extensively to monitor incubators indicates that either the temperature at the bottom where I place the thermometer is about 2°F lower than the incubator's indicated 100.4°F on the top, or the incubator's thermometer is off. This can be adjusted for, but the instructions do a poor job explaining how to change the temperature, which can only be done in manual mode and by my experience only directly after entering this mode. If the temperature needs to be adjusted, say, a few days later, the only way I've been able to do this is to reset the incubator to factory settings, put it back to manual mode and change the temperature directly after putting it into the mode. The turner mechanism motor is on the bottom of the incubator and attaches to the control panel via a cable at the back of the device, meaning there are two cords to deal with. This isn't really a deal-breaker for me, but with the styrofoam cover on, which fits snugly, this extra cord is just one more thing that needs to be dealt with. The floor of the incubator is a solid piece of plastic that has no "grip" for hatching baby birds to get footing on. This can be solved by using some kind of textured material like that spongy shelf liner mesh (I use it a lot for lockdown to give newly hatched chicks extra texture to gain footing on.) On the good side, I plan on using this for dry incubating as it has no audible low humidity alarm, and I will lock down the eggs in a different incubator. I can make use of this incubator but it leaves a lot to be desired. ... show more

  • Good incubator
So far it's a great plug and play incubator. Holds less than my others, but that's okay for a smaller batch. Not everyone needs 18 chickens. Heats up well and seems to stay at temps well. Seems accurate as far as I can tell. No noise except for the Turner. Seems a good value. Hatch day will be the real tell and I'll update. Very easy to set up and clean. Works well at startup. I'll be back to update after after hatch. ... show more

  • Decent Entry Incubator
This is a decent incubator for occasional hatches. The temp runs a bit off, but that’s par for the course. You can manually adjust it up. Definitely use a secondary thermometer to check on it.

  • Highly recommend for beginners
This is a great incubator for beginners. It actually worked quite well and successfully hatched 8 out of 12 eggs. I honestly was figuring id get 6 at best. What a surprise! I do recommend you keep it away from any AC vents to help maintain the proper temperature.
