Love these little thermometers for getting accurate reading for meat, yeast water temp., and other liquids. Handy clip on the edge and fits scug in the holder. EASY clean up too!

I recently tried out the Rubbermaid Commercial Products Food/Meat Instant Read Thermometer, and here’s my take on it: Accuracy and Speed: The thermometer provides reasonably accurate readings, but it’s not the fastest. It takes a bit longer to register the temperature compared to some digital thermometers. However, it’s still reliable for everyday cooking. Dishwasher Safe: One of the standout features is that it’s dishwasher safe. After measuring the temperature, I can toss it in the dishwasher without worry. No fuss, no hassle. Pocket Size: The compact design makes it easy to carry around. I keep it in my kitchen drawer, and it doesn’t take up much space. This is a great food thermometer that came just in time for Thanksgiving. Its solid and easy to ready. It does what it needs to do w/a pocket protector and does NOT need batteries. My previous one needed batteries replaced and the poker was flimsy. I highly recommend this Seller and product!

    • Bought two and neither worked - will not buy again
Because these are inexpensive and simple, I bought two: one for the kitchen and one for the grill. Neither one works accurately. With meat well done and overcooked, neither would register above 110 degrees. I'm not sure why this is, but I'm disappointed with the purchase. As always, your mileage may vary, but since I bought two of them it's clear I'll need to find a different manufacturer. ... show more

I maybe should have intuited from the temperature range listed that it wasn't designed to handle long stints in a hot oven, but I would have appreciated some instructions or warning to this effect. The only instructions provided were to clean it before use, how to wash it, and how to calibrate it. I used it to measure the temperature of a loaf of bread in the oven, and when the loaf wasn't quite up to temperature, I left the thermometer in so I could watch it rise. I walked away for 5 minutes, and when I came back, the glass face of the thermometer had been melted and was full of bubbles that make the thermometer unreadable. :-( ... show more
