I was just as skeptical as you are given that there is no adhesive or 3M tape or anything other than a “grippy surface” on the bottom of the pad and no real installation process, but it really does work. My photo is AFTER a 10 minute row at a sustained 26s/m pace and never once did it shift, bunch up, or negatively impact my row. I spend 45 mins every day on the rower and my butt was in pain after each use. After going through different options, I decided to order this one. I was disappointed of how thin the pad is when I first received it. But I am so happy after using it for almost a month. Even though it feel very thin, I feel perfectly fine after my daily exercise and I think it may not work as well if the pad is too thick that it raises the level of the original seat. In addition, the bottom of the pad is rubbery so it does not slip with my moment. I highly recommend it for concept 2 users. ... show more

Pros: I like the design of this cushion. It doesn't slip on the seat at all; it fits the Concept 2 Rower perfectly. Cons: If it was 3X thicker it would be so much more comfortable. It provides minimal cushioning from the hard plastic seat on the rower. The other cushions I have found online are too thick, affecting my positioning and putting more pressure on my lower back. I guess Goldilocks has not found the "just right" cushion yet. ... show more

I’ve only put about 20km on it so far but it’s fantastic and has completely resolved the issue I was having with tailbone fatigue, and without adding any height. I was concerned the tag would scratch my bare leg but it’s a soft tag and does not bother me.

This pad fits like a glove on my Concept 2 rowers-I got one for each. There is just enough cushion for comfort-but not too thick or squishy. Some reviewers have fussed about it being too thin- for me they are perfect and almost look like it was original from the factory.
