Took awhile to get a rythem going, but wow. I also learned that in refilling, a gently inserted lag screw easily pulls the plunger. This is quality construction, extremely efficient and easy to pack bearings. A little pricy, but I did 8 bearings in less than 20 min. You need one of these!

This grease packer works great. Fill it with the grease of your choice just under halfway full. Clean off the bearing to be packed and put it in the packer and screw on the handle. Keep turning till old grease comes out, stop, wipe out the old grease and then repeat till only clean new grease comes out. It is well made and does the job. When done leave the grease in, screw the lid/handle back on until the next job.

I very rarely give bad reviews, and I had high hopes for this design. I am a master tech mechanic for over 50 years. The tall wheel bearing packer that I grew up with that you just pull the handle down and three seconds later it’s greased, no longer exists. The regular wheel bearing packer that’s everywhere in the market, which is a push down type, works very well, but this screw down design looked better because you simply tighten the top T handle and it’s supposed to grease it. When I did that, grease came out of the center lower nut to Rod area & some grease bypassed the outer O-ring creating a big grease mess! On top of this mess, it did not pressurize grease to come through the wheel bearing. I ended up getting super greasy and frustrated and went to my old wheel bearing packer that you pushed down on and within five seconds, I was done. Additionally, it is much harder to look inside to see when the grease is coming through because the lid only moves up about 1 inch. Where is the other wheel bearing packer is wide open to see what’s going on

I have hand packed bearings for over 50 years, I have used the "cone style" bearing packers and I have used the pump style packers. THIS is the best and cleanest bearing packer I have ever used. Add a 1/2 tube of grease and you are ready to rock.

While you can manually pack bearings, this device makes the job much simpler and less messy. The screw top makes the job much easier relative to other “push to pack” designs
