The instructions are horrible .. but, it's pretty simple to figure out how to put things together. I recommend using a power drill because the holes aren't threaded all that well. The instructions also call for a torque wrench, but I tightened the clasps on the side rails until they were nice and snug. No issues. We traveled 6 hours at highway speeds with 6 carryon bags in a car-top carrier - probably 200. The rails had no issues supporting that weight. Now that we are back from vacation, I'm going to leave the rails on full-time. They blend in well with the styling of the GX. ... show more

    • Good quality, fairly easy to install. Front bar is too short.
Good quality, not that hard to install. The front bar needs to be about 7/16" longer to fit in the full forward position with the mounting brackets fully extended. I used a rat tail file to elongate the slot and and moved the bar back about 1". Be careful not to over tighten the mounting brackets. The threads will strip easily. I retapped the holes for 1/4-28 SS button head Allen screws. Much stronger! ... show more

Horrible quality. Right when you take it out of the box you can tell the "metal" mounting points on either side of the crossbar are too light. They're either super low quality Chinese pot metal or spray painted plastic. Either way these are a hazard. I've had these for two months and haven't put any load on them. While I was washing the roof of my car the other day I noticed one was loose. I tightened it with my torx driver and with no resistance the bolt broke through the integrated washer. I'm outside the return window and now this rack is useless. The price is too good to be true, don't waste your money. This thing is a safety hazard. ... show more

I have a Thule motion 3 on these. I was worried if I could put a cargo box on these, but it works perfectly. I looked through tons of reviews trying to find this info, but my experience with it has been great.

    • Low wind noise, works as it should, follow directions
Pay attention to directions, fit as they should. Work very well with low wind noise if left on the vehicle. Also work very well to hold a large rack with wet bag on the roof for a several hundred mile journey. I do feel if you torque them down at recommended ft/lbs (most people don't) it will be tight enough to break something. Feel like maybe that was misrepresented in the directions. Possibly inch pounds? Anyway use your own judgment with that. ... show more
