We bought this for my son along with a trailer hitch so he could move across country. We were blown away with how much room there is! I put in two giant‘s crate boxes, two tents and all his camping gear, small suitcase with clothing, and you can see in the picture there’s still room. He could’ve continued to add to it. It has very nice thick material no concerns about it being easily torn by the wind or ripped by anything put inside it. The way they cover the zippers is spot on and keeps things from getting wet. I’ve seen this on the roof of other cars. We didn’t think we would like that so we bought the trailor hitch with panels on all four sides and it fit inside it perfectly. He said it didn’t shift, or rattle and worked beautifully. They drove across the country with no problems. It came with several straps and a way to lock it. It really packs lot! I’m not sure we would like this as much if we didn’t fill it full because doing so made it so much sturdier. Bonus! It folds for easy storage when not in use! We Highly recommend this product!

I bought this roof rack and cargo bag combo for a family road trip because apparently five people can’t pack light. Assembly was straightforward. Once it was on, this beast held everything: suitcases, duffel bags, and maybe a small goat. The waterproof bag kept our stuff dry through storms and a suspicious car wash incident. The included bungee net and straps held everything down and we barely heard any wind noise, and the whole thing didn’t budge at 70 MPH.

We got the package with cargo basket to work with our cross bars. Survived over 1000 miles in ten days including rain. Nothing got wet. Quite secure. Set up takes a little bit of time. Carried a LOT of stuff. Be sure to tie up all the loose strap ends to avoid tapping sounds on roof.

Assembly was a bit hard as two parts did not connect as it's slightly bent. I had to use a mallet to force it to connect. Once done it wasn't hard to connect it with my cross bar. When I drive at about 60+ mph there is a pretty loud noise coming from the wind. All in all it was a good purchase as I bought the largest size and I can store a ton of items in my Hyundai Tucson that doesn't have the most trunk space.

I will be using this on my new hitch mount folding cargo carrier if it is threatening rain at all or just to keep stuff clean and secure during travel. This was the tallest one I could find and technically is a couple inches too wide for the carrier base, but that actually ends up helping. I'm going to fabricate cardboard (corrugated plastic if possible) to make it more like a box, also making it easier to deal with when using (instead of it flopping around limply as you try to load/unload/zip/unzip/etc). This pic shows carrier without bag, I will get a good pic and post it later after I make my bag more rigid. It sure does look nice and is made of very thick vinyl and folds up easy and goes into a bag that is 12x14x4 inches. That's an amazing feat! Once I fabricate inner walls though, then ill have those to stow as well. More than likely, the bag and hitch carrier will on be left together and I'll just pull it all out of the hitch and put in the garage or shed (even outside) when not in use. I have yet to determine any loss in mileage. My 1st 1000 miles I got 32mpg, with hitch carrier 31mpg, add roof bars 30mpg. I probably won't lose any because I the bag is behind the vehicle, where the air is all washed out anyway. Not roof bars alone, but a roof rack or rooftop bag will hurt your mpg way more.

Arrived quickly. I've used it on two separate long trips and it worked wonderfully with no visible damage or wear even with uneaven and bulky contents. Great large size. I was surprised at the size and capacity added with this bag -- we had extra room in the bag both trips. Sturdy zippers and velcro attachments to secure the the lip over the zipper. Six tie down clips/locations and tie downs straps included. The straps are not extremely thick/heavy duty but I found that I did not need heavy duty straps to secure the bag and the included straps worked well for us and were long enough. I was looking at other carrier bags at a much higher price point before I came across this and I am more than satisfied that this bag will suit our needs and hold together for a good long time. Happy I didn't worry about quality and pay more unnecessarily. This one has been great for our needs so far.

Low quality. The cost isn’t worth it. The pictures make it look way quality better than what it really is. The side rails are held together by 2 tiny screws on each side. The middle rails are only held together with rubbery sleeves that are not at all for structural support, just to look like it’s a solid piece, but it’s not. I got the largest size but had to leave out one entire section because they didn’t send enough screws or sleeves. It’s easy enough to put together with 2 people, but alone I wouldn’t be able to get it on the roof of my car. The bag is not the same size as the rack. I don’t know why they made them different sizes and sell them together. It’s illogical. There is significant noise increase with it, from air while driving, however I do not think it’s avoidable, and both the other ones I’ve had were just as noisy. To attach to the rails it’s pretty easy. The brackets are simple and have rubber like bushings so they tighten easy and stay snug and quiet. They have easy to tighten hand screws 2 on each bracket.
