Was not sure about this since we have others like this just not this name brand so I thought I would take a chance and I am so glad I did. You can actually turn the sound of it on or off and it is really easy to control. It is really light weight so it actually works really well even in the sand at the beach. We will actually be adding more from them to make our set complete. Also my husband loves it more than the kids do but they had a blast at the beach and enjoyed it all. I would definitely say it is worth the price.

My son loves this excavator. He likes how the bucket is actually metal and that the jackhammer works in real dirt. He says it has pretty good traction but is soemtimes shaky.

My little brother loves this toy. He says he uses it in snow and mud and it doesn’t get stuck. We’ve had it for almost a year and it still runs great. And the remote control is easy to navigate!

I bought this truck to go with my rc excavator. The truck arrived on time and in perfect condition. It looks just like the real truck. This is where the pros stop. The battery it comes with is about the size and thickness of a business card even though the battery compartment is quite large (more on this later). Only the rear set of tires is powered, so it gets stuck on anything other than a hard surface like concrete, or interior flooring. The bed has very little power and will not dump if it has more than a quarter of the bed filled. I complained to the seller and they said it sounded like i needed more battery power and offered to send a new battery. Inwent a step further. I ordered two 1000 mah batteries, made a y harness and have both installed at once in the large battery compartment. I now have 4 times the battery power than what it came with. No change in how well it dumps a load. The sound effects cannot be turned off. But you can take the cab off and unplug the speaker easily and it will not disable any of the other features.

Bought this remote-control Double E Volvo RC Dump Truck toy along with the remote-control Double E Remote Control Excavator toy for my grandson on his 3rd birthday. Very pleased with the quality of each of the toys. They are very sturdy and well made. Battery life is good. My grandson plays with both toys till the battery is depleted on both. He can't wait till the batteries are charge up to play again. He adapted to the remote control on both toys like a champ! The recommended age of 6 7 8 9 10-year-olds for the Dump Trunk was originally a concern, but I can highly testify that my grandson had absolutely no problem at all. I highly recommend both these toys.

Purchased this truck for my grandson for Christmas. Very realistic with sound, turn signals, lights and back-up warning beeper.The remote control has an ignition button to start and stop the truck, which means you can’t turn off the sound. Battery life seems to be good. My grandson loves to play with it especially dumping the bed. It took him some time to figure out how to use all the functions but finally got the hang of it.

Great fun with strong track drive but all boom and arm functions are very weak. They just click and slip under light load even trying to play in sand is to much. 5 year old is a little disappointed with the lack of being able to use the bucket even in a sand box. Cool toy though it looks good and feels well built other than boom functions.
