  • Awesome bang for the buck!
Style: 12” K9 Series 2 Ohm
I have a single 12 k9 d2 in a 2.2 cubic ft box tuned to about 33hz running in a Rockford prime 750 (820 actual watts). This thing slams! I have visible flex on all 4 doors. If you can find a sub for less than 115 dollars shipped to my door that can do that then I’m all ears. It’s also built like a tank. I recently installed a pair of sundown sa 12’s and honestly the build quality is similar. It’s hard to compare sound between the 2 because the sundown setup was dual 12s but I think the k9 holds it’s own, and considering the sundowns cost almost twice the price. Also thought it worth mentioning that the first model of the k9 did have an issue with the glue and the dust caps were a little flexible. The model on amazon now are the new and improved version. on the box it says the glue is a high temp version and that the dust cap is “ultra stiff” and it is! Don’t go by the description for the box size it’s way to small. The manual that came with the box says 1.8 to 2.75 cubes. I kinda split the difference at 2.2 and it sounds really good. But generally the bigger you go the more efficient it becomes and the louder and deeper it will hit. I will update if anything happens in the future but as of right now I’m very satisfied! ... show more

  • It'll make your eyeballs rattle & knock free any lung butter you were saving for a special occasion!
Style: 12” K9 Series 2 Ohm
I have this sub in a QBomb side ported box with bedliner and it's powered by the Rockville RDX-M1, the same amp I used to power the W12K6D2 (dual 2 ohm) that I was replacing. The difference between the two subs is night and day. The K6 in the same box would vibrate my nose hairs a little bit and shook the mirrors too. This K9 serie though, it vibrate every hair on my body. Even using an underpowered amp I have to turn the bass knob to zero so I can read street signs. This thing vibrates my freaking eyeballs. That's using an amp that's only rated at 500 RMS CEA rated. Best part is I didn't have to pay for the sub and no they didn't give it to me. Amazon doesn't accept returns but they will return your $ and tell you to donate it or toss it in the trash. Before it was delivered I planned on sending it back and planned on buying a Rockville Destroyer 12D2 12" instead. I'm glad I didn't because this sub in the Qbomb box with a way under powered amp is still in my top 2 subset ups I've owned and I've always bought name brand stuff never owned anything named BOSS or AudioPipe I was a Rockford Fosgate (best of their line stuff dating back to the 90's) but I really liked my 12" Kicker L7 paired with a 1000 watt 1000.1 kicker amp that was my best set up but it cost over $100 for the entire set up, self installed. You can get near the performance from this sub,a QBOMB side ported bx and a entry level M-1 series Rockville amp with 4 gauge install kit, upgrade the fuse to a circuit breaker, wire reducers (into the amp), banana plugs(into the amp & box terminals for under $37. If your building a system from scratch I would suggest buying the IGNITE R300/1D amp instead of a Rockville, it's $104 & $23 for a 3 yr warranty but for that $125 your going to get an amp that puts out like a prom date. Check youtube for the DYNO drag race, this IGNITE amp puts out 1100 watts (cea certified) at 1 ohm on the DYNO and 1122 watts uncertified. I know your saying I'm not buying some amp I never heard of but do yourself a favor and watch the youtube video and buy the 3 year protection plan and get a worry free 3 years of bass that will knock the dingleberries off your asss. ... show more

  • Boom for your buck
Style: 12” K9 Series 4 Ohm
A year and half later, thats how long I've waited for this review. Firstly, I've been an audiophile for 20 years and I've always run Rockford Fosgate subs in my systems. After dozens and dozens of failures I decided to try a new brand. I'm using a Rockford 500w amp to push this 12" fella in a Q-Logic box. I can't get over how incredible this sub performs. I've blown up more subs that were 4x the cost in less than a week. I've subjected this sub to every kind of music there is and it consistently handles it with minimal voltage drop. If you want low price performance, buy this sub! ... show more
