READ WHOLE REVIEW!! (April 23')- This is my first subwoofer kit, and I am super happy with it!! The sub and amp both seem to be fairly high quality and it really adds to my factory system well! I'm still breaking it in, but so far it's going great! I've never done an install like this, and I did it in roughly 8 hours, excluding a couple hours of figuring just for my car specifically. For the money, this kit puts out some pretty good sound. As long as you have a little electrical knowledge, this isn't too serious of a job. Recommend this kit! UPDATE BARELY 1 YEAR LATER (March 24')- Hello. I purchased this on April 6, 2023 and it is now March 2024. Very upset, as I found out only about 1 week after I reinstalled this same Amp and Subwoofer into my second car, that the Amp now overpowered-- and blew the subwoofer. I originally had this kit in my Jetta, and it made decent sound and power. But I wanted to move it to my next car, an Impala, and reinstall it in there. I bought another wiring kit from Rockville, got the same Amp and Sub wired up, and BOOM! It was back. It hit harder in the Impala than it did before in the Jetta, and I was very happy. For about a week. I thought the subwoofer and amp were matched for each other, but apparently the subwoofer could not hold up to the amplifier's full potential and power. Looks like I'll be purchasing a different brand of Subwoofer to replace this one. Does not last. ... show more

unfortunately after only a month (maybe less) with our sub, it stopped working. it had been in my possession longer since it was a bday present for my nephew. we hooked up another sub to the amp setup and it worked fine. assumign it was just the sub itself. i hit up rockville cust svc, even outside of my return window. and i hit up audiosavings cust svc. audiosavings got back to me within 12 hrs and was already starting the tracking info to get this sent back. it was FANTASTIC. resolved the issue and immediately had DEM BUMPSSSS... would recommend and honestly we may buy more just for the fact their customer service will fix whatever issue you might come up with. ... show more

Sub was already installed in box which made it easy for me. I had it installed maybe 2 weeks and the speaker blew and i am not one that needs to have it blasting. Way too small of a wattage sub to be with 1000 watt amp. I would not recommend Rockville for any system. The amp gets hot way to fast so it cuts out and i have all the settings as low as i can get them without losing sound. The box is made of cheap plyboard or something idk but when i took the screws out it all just crumpled around it. Dont even waste your money. Hifonics is the best subs i have found and i am going to stick with those from now on. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is a sub for beginners. I installed it on my work vehicle to just have some fun with my music. Make sure you break it in before doing high volume or else you will break the sub. After 2+ weeks now sounds harder and better.
