I had hoped to do more video production and thought I'd try this cage because my camera fatigues me. This rig allows for a different grip, thus allowing for different angles of shots/footage, and resulting in less wrist fatigue for me. There are at least three cold shoes, plus places to screw in any number of accessories. the cage feels well constructed, and the metal feels good in my hand. I don't find that the cage adds much more weight to the camera, so that's a big plus.
