It sounded awesome for about two months, then I was at a light with the music pretty loud and my amp went into protection mode then came back on and the sub sounded funny, so I turned the stereo off and on again and nothing. I thought i burned out the amp with undervolting (I think that's a word) so I ordered a new amp without even checking anything. The new amp came a couple days later and I installed it and nothing. So I hooked a junk speaker up and touched it to the amp and there was sound. So now I have two taramps big boss 3's and a blown out subwoofer. I or6a recone kit and a skar subwoofer, the one for around $421, I can't remember the part number. I have a dually that needs a stereo, so I'll keep everything. I never owned a skar subwoofer, so hopefully it does a little better than two months with a 3000 watt amp ... show more

Let me start by saying i bought this for my fiancé for a early father’s day gift. The speaker was installed professionally. As soon as my fiancé started to raise the music the speaker started to smoke and was making a very loud scratching sound. after that it completely shut off and no more sound came out. The next day he called rockville audio at around 10:00am and all they told him was that a tech guy would call him at 1:00pm. It is now 10:00pm and no phone call or anything from these people. all i’m saying is that everything they have written about warranty and customer service is all bs. He is very upset about this because all he read was good reviews about these people and they are just not good at all. But what he can say about there amps is that they are really good and worth the money, quality is great too but as far as speakers go they are complete trash. i hope everyone finds this review helpful. ... show more

This is a good subwoofer. I bought this subwoofer to use until i re-coned the subwoofer I just blew. With that being said I didnt break it in at all. I immediately abused it. I've re-coned my other sub but the Destroyer sounds better now that its "broken in" , and my other sub was much more expensive. Ive played the thing for 50 min drives blasting the whole time and i never smell any voice coil and it doesn't get that hot. Im really impressed with it. ... show more
