Pros: 1. Perfectly functional. 2. The anti-slip texturing really makes a difference, even though is not rough like the surface of a file, or other knurled surfaces I've seen. (I don't think you could get an abrasion injury by rubbing your arm on it.) 3. Adds a lot to the look of a rather bland fiberglass shower stall. (We were not expecting the look of the shower to improve, so I did not take a "before" picture.) Not So Pros: 1. NOT FIVE STARS because the "big screw" that connects the "three-hole base" to the bar screws into a round, flat, and rather thin piece of metal that is welded to the bar using only five or six tiny tack welds. The Moen bar I bought (which you can see on the right wall of the picture) uses a continuous 360° weld. 2. Normal 16" grab bars are 16" center-to-center, so you can mount it to studs. This thing is 14.5" center-to-center. 3. IMO, the furnished mounting screws should never be trusted. 4. It should come with a gasket to ensure water does not leak through the screw holes. Mounting Notes to a Fiberglass Shower Stall: The photo shows that I have mounted the two bars 12" apart from each other. I decided that the most secure way to mount these things was with vertical bars behind the shower stall wall. I ended up with a two-foot tall by 14" wide modified letter "H". The vertical portions of the "H" are behind the stall wall, and TWO horizontal parts being the bars themselves. 1. I cut in half a four-foot long ¾" steel angle. 2. I tapped 10-24 threads in the angles to match the locations of two of the three holes in the three-hole bases. 3. I drilled four 1" holes in the shower stall wall, plus eight ½" holes for the screws. 4. I tied strings to each end of one of the two-foot angles, fed it through an upper hole, lined it up with the ¼" holes, and screwed and glued the angle in place. 5. Then I did this with the other side. 6. When the glue had dried, I removed the screws and attached the grab bars.

These grab bars ended up being better than I expected. I did not use the cheesey hardware that they came with, however. So far they seem to hold up to the weight of an adult using them for lift and support. They actually look less cheap once they were installed.

Great grip. As i am 74 and having to “relearn” walking, these are great, providing help in and out of shower. I am ordering a second pair to install by toilet seats. And will order a third pair if another needed spot pops up!

Our grandpa is in his 90’s. Adding these were not difficult. I recommend a decent stud finder. Otherwise this look good, he likes the grip and a good value for the buck.
