    • Chest and head thumping bass
In my title I said "Chest and head thumping bass", and that's what I mean. I had two excellent subwoofers in each of my vehicles, a Rockford Fosgate P34D12 and a Alpine SWR 1243D, both hit hard and produced smooth lows. I've since replaced both of them with this subwoofer. However, this sub is in a class above both of the subs mentioned above. The rating says 800 RMS (Amazon needs to change the heading from 600RMS) but that is a conservative rating and I think it's higher. I put this subwoofer in my Atrend subwoofer box and it barely fit and it would not fit my Scosche box so beware you may have to get the hole enlarged. The measurements say it's the same as the P34D12 but it is larger due to the metal beneath the driver. The fitting issue aside, this is a well contructed, beautiful and robust sub. The SWIFT plugs (fancy jumpers) make running the sub at 2 or 8 ohms a snap. Without the jumper it is a dual voicecoil 4 ohm work of art. I am pushing both of my subs with a Rockford Prime R1000-1D, a small but hard hitting marvel of ingenuity. At my age I got to be careful before I rupture my already abused eardrums from partying days in the 70's and 80's as a teenager and young wild soldier. I listen to jazz; a lot of old and some new rap; a heap of soul; and little bit of old rock and classical music. This sub fits all genres. You can rock the block or listen at low levels and you will be happy. This is the best sub I ever purchased and hopefully it will last a long time. If you don't require ultra hard hitting bass then get the superb RF P34D12 or Alpine SWR 1243D, but if you require the best without going into the stratospheric prices of higher end subs, this is an excellent selection. I was looking for some bass. I've run this setup before. So I already knew what I was getting into. Amazing sub, paired with a Rockford Fosgate BDCP-1000 amplifier. Built custom enclosure. Couldn't be happier. Doesn't disappoint and gets the job done. All around good subwoofer. Don't hesitate if all your looking for is 600-800 watts on a single subwoofer setup. ... show more

    • Fosgate rocks the block
I haven’t had a stereo system is a long time and I loved my old punch 12’s. So I decided to install one last system for fun. Rockford Fosgate power amps and 4 of these power 12’s. Always love the quality and durability. They just look intimidating taking them out of the box!

    • Spectacular subs
I absolutely love the way that these subs sound. I personally think the T2 subwoofers are not as nice sounding as the T1's, for most people the T1 will be more than enough. I have two of these Rockford Fosgate subs in a custom box running off of a Rockford Fosgate T1500. These subs could take more power than what I am currently supplying them, but they are more than loud enough for me. I might upgrade later on to the T2500 but the T1500 does justice for these subs. Great sound quality, decent SPL, great looking subwoofers. I love the grills that they come with, to make sure the subwoofer doesn't get messed up by accidentally hitting something. That is one of the downfalls of this sub is that they can get messed up pretty easily since the cone of the subwoofer gets scratched easily. ... show more

Hands down the best deal for a sub of this quality and output for the price of only $249.99 with FREE shipping. I have this hooked up to a Hifonics HiFi1500D amp which i am running at 2-Ohms which means it was feeding 1000 watts. Its sitting inside a custom sub box i made at home and this thing SLAMS!!! I had just hooked it up lastnight and today was the first day at school with it, and when i was leaving the school i had my deck turned up to 80% and i was setting off MULTIPLE car alarms! If your looking for a ROOF FLEXING, REAR VIEW MIRROR SHAKING, CAR ALARM SETTING OFF type of sub. Then this is the one for you!
