Rockford Fosgate never lets me down. I used to have two punch p2's that were over 10 years old. Removed both from my old vehicle and installed one in my truck, it still worked fine but shattered the plastic dust cover on the cone, installed the second one and same happened after a few months(the plastic was old and yellowed by the sun) Anyways, come to find out that the current p2's are too deep to install in my tiny truck box so i decided to give this little prime sub a shot since it would fit and was only 50 bucks. Man for an entry level sub I'm very impressed. Mind you that it doesn't hit nearly as hard, get to the low lows, and isn't as loud overall as my old p2's. But oh boy am I happy with this thing. I will continue to exclusively buy rockford and only rockford. I run punch 6.5s in my doors, punch 4x6s in the rear, and this sub is powered by the newest model of the prime 500x2 amp wired up in 2 ohms. If rockford made head units I'd buy that too. ... show more

It's Rockford Fosgate what more do I need to say!! With so many choices out there now days in subwoofers where do you start! Here is definitely not a bad place at all. RF has been in the business for a long time, they were all the rage back in the late 80's when I was introduced to them and they still are as far as I'm concerned. This being their entry level subwoofer, don't let that shy you away from them these subwoofers are fantastic and seem to enjoy smaller enclosures... I installed one of these in a Camaro in a custom wheel well sealed sub box 2 years ago and the guy is still getting compliments and continually asked if he is running 12's in his car. They work well either in a ported or sealed environment I have done both. They also have really good speakers for the interior of your car as well as fantastic amps 2 ch, 4ch, and mono block sub amps. I have installed a wide variety of Rockford Fosgate equipment and always have satisfied customers with absolutely no returns for blown or fried equipment. Went from a cheap single voice coil to this setup on the same Alpine mono amp. Hits much harder without even changing settings on the amp or head unit. This unit is perfect and I may never feel the need to upgrade again.

Speaker was dead on arrival. Right away I could tell something was up when I felt a crunchiness when depressing the cone. The sub looked great, but that’s about it. This was used very good alright πŸ˜•
