  • This cart is AMAZING for my farmer's market setup!
Style: R6RT Pattern: Rock-N-Roller
I have an outdoor booth at a weekly farmer's market. I'm not able to pull my car up to load in/load out so I need a cart to move my setup to my space. Another vendor recommended this cart to me and I'm SO glad. It's super solid! The large wheels will roll just as smoothly through grass as they do on concrete and it's really easy to pivot and maneuver around obstacles. The adjustable length is super handy, and the cart folds up and fits easily in the back of my car. With my old cart, I used to make 4 round trips to move my setup from my car to my booth space, and then 4 more to repack the car. With this cart, I'm down to 2 round trips for setup and breakdown - that doesn't sound like a lot, but it's a huge timesaver. I know this cart is made for musicians, but it's fantastic for what I do!💗 ... show more

  • Amazing, a must have for the gigging drummer.
Style: R6RT Pattern: Rock-N-Roller
This review is for the R6RT cart, and I have to say that this is one of the best purchases I have ever made.As a regularly gigging musician (drummer) I spent years hauling in my kit a couple pieces at a time, constantly locking and unlocking the car and making multiple trips. Eventually I grew wise to the ways of the hand truck and purchased an industrial grade one from a local hardware store. Although it properly fit my equipment it was large and heavy and took up too much space in my SUV to be practical. Enter the R6RT cart from Rock N Roller. This thing was a god send, and has made the worst part of being a musician (load in/load out) so much more tolerable, and saves me a huge amount of time during set up. I play on a small "portable" kit and the R6RT fits all of my equipment snugly and easily, and breaks down to a convenient size that fits perfectly in the trunk of my car. The lightweight aspect of this cart is another huge plus. I also love the "no flat" wheels (a problem in the past with industrial hand trucks) which slide smoothly over most surfaces including grass and small rocks while remaining stable. I would recommend this cart 1000x over to any musician that has gear to haul. For anyone thinking of buying this cart, so not hesitate. However, the R6RT fits my small drumset perfectly, but anyone with a "normal" size kit will definitely need a larger cart; but if the R6RT is anything to go by, the bigger carts should be up to the same incredible standard. ... show more

  • Safe yourself some time and just buy this cart
Style: R16RT Pattern: Rock-N-Roller
I know you're trying to wrap your head around which one of these carts is going to fit your needs. I've been there, and I have no regrets whatsoever buying this model. The wheels alone are worth it and I have yet to put it in a situation where they don't keep rolling. The first time I was able to use this on a shoot and carry everything in one trip made my life significantly easier. It's middle size of the carts that they offer, and it's the right size when folded to fit in most vehicles. Yes, it weighs 40 lbs, but the upgrade to the size of tubing used adds to its strength. I'm pretty sure it actually can hold 600 lbs, and I've had at least 200-300 on it without an issue. It just keeps on rolling! ... show more

  • Terrible design for video production
Style: R10RT Pattern: Rock-N-Roller
Just an awful design if you have any loose items such as c stands, light stands, softboxes, or basically anything except hard cases. I used one a few years ago because my other cart broke and we needed one for a shoot, and the camera operator offered to bring a Rock n Roller cart. We loaded up all of the equipment, and not even two minutes after we started rolling it on the sidewalk, nearly all of the equipment toppled over onto the grass and dirt. When we were leaving the shoot, the exact same thing happened again, and I decided NOT to replace my other cart with a Rock n Roller cart. I purchased a different cart that worked well for a while, but wasn't designed for holding heavy equipment, and after working really well for over a year, the handle broke. I spoke with someone who recommended that I buy a Rock n Roller cart, but use ratchet straps to secure the items. I made the mistake of listening to him, and I bought this one. It is very sturdy, but that is the only positive thing about it. The first time we used it, one of the tripods fell through the bottom and we had to work very hard to get it out from under the cart without damaging it. The next couple times we used it, it worked fine. Then, I packed up a lot of equipment (hard cases, camera cases, c stands, light stand, and sand bags), secured it with two ratchet straps, and then started rolling it on the sidewalk. Without any warning, half of the equipment (including both c stands) promptly fell directly onto the sidewalk, and one of the c stands swung into my car door and scratched it. I was furious. The other carts I've owned never did this once, but after only 5-6 uses of this cart, this happens and it damaged my car. We have several shoots going on now, and I don't have time to send it back and get a different one, so I used it again hoping that by putting less equipment on it I would be ok. However, once we got back from our most recent shoot, I needed to use it to bring the equipment into our building. Within 30 seconds, one of the light stands falls down below the cart so that I (once again) have to do whatever I can to remove it without damaging it. I then walk the cart into the building, and (also, once again) half of the equipment promptly falls onto the floor. These carts are probably fine if you just have hard cases, However, they are HORRIBLE if you have stands, softcases, or anything else that may tip over or fall through to the bottom. I do not recommend this cart, at all. UPDATE: We had another issue occur where we purchase the bag that Rock n Roller sells to cover the cart and allow us to put items in the bag. After about 2 months of use, the bag put so much tension on the cart that it bent one of the metal tabs that keeps the sides of it in place. After this happened, they kept falling forward whenever we would try to move the cart. I called Rock n Roller and spoke with two people who offered to help. It took some convincing on my part, but eventually they agreed to send me a new cart. They actually sent me a more expensive model (R16) which is more durable and has a wider base. This new R16 is MUCH better for what we need to do. ... show more
