Description

The Magliner HMK15AG2C aluminum hand truck has a straight back frame, vertical loop handle, extruded aluminum nose plate, 10" microcellular foam wheels and a 500 lb. load capacity. The hand truck's frame and nose plate are made of aluminum, which weighs less than steel and is resistant to rust and corrosion. The wheels on the hand truck have semi-precision bearings to help reduce friction and support the load. This hand truck requires assembly; instructions and hardware for assembly are included, tools for assembly are sold separately. Hand trucks, also known as two-wheeled dollies, are used to transport heavy or bulky items, especially in commercial product distribution and delivery. Hand trucks are L-shaped, with handles at the top, two wheels at the bottom and a small platform that touches the ground when the truck is upright. A load is placed on the platform and the truck is tilted back, balancing the weight over the wheels. Powered hand trucks have a platform that lifts the load up, or lowers it down, to reduce human labor. Some hand trucks may be convertible to platform trucks for moving large or cumbersome loads. Others fold flat for storage. Magline manufactures Magliner brand hand trucks, dollies, ramps and other products for material handling applications.

  • Best hand trucks.
Pattern Name: Hand Truck
They are probably one of the best hand trucks I’ve ever used and owned. I won’t buy anything else unless it has a specific use. They are a little pricey but worth the money.

  • No issues, newly built, high quality
Pattern Name: Hand Truck
I got exactly what I ordered. The instructions where clear. The parts where all there. When assembled correctly it doesn't lean. All the lower reviews where wrong. Magliner is great and it came from the factory. The welds on the handle where fresh and had a little residue I removed but that's just fine I ordered new and got NEW NEW. the tires are even nice and shiny. ... show more

  • Couldn't Be Happier - Excellent Hand Truck
Pattern Name: Hand Truck
Ok, so I read the reviews on this day before yesterday and I'd like to thank the guys who reviewed it and mentioned what to look out for. I ordered it and just got done assembling it and everything posted about it is accurate. The instructions aren't very good and here's why: Apparently there are two types of nose pieces (the flat part that you scoop under the cargo with) and the EXTRUDED nose piece is different from what appears to be a cast piece. The extruded nose requires a little bit of assembly and has it's own set of nuts and bolts. The pictures on the instructions appear to be a cast nose piece, not the extruded. It's a little tricky to put together but only took me about 45 minutes to figure out what the directions were talking about. I would recommend a drift pin or screw driver be used to align the bolts holes on both the base and handle. Makes it quite easy to get them aligned. Also, a rubber mallet helped to get the black plastic trim pieces into place quickly. I've just gotten back to my computer after about 5 hours of hauling stacks of boxes, etc. It's an excellent hand truck and I recommend it. In addition, when the US Postal gal showed up earlier today to deliver it, she said they have 5 Magliner hand trucks down at the Postal office they use for moving boxes and equipment around. NOTE TO MAGLINER: Put some pictures on your website of someone assembling of this thing! That's what websites are for! ... show more

  • Lived up to reputation
Pattern Name: Hand Truck
I picked a model with microcellular closed foam wheels (no flats), the P-handle, and extended nose and have been really glad for all 3 aspects. Cart has worked great, I've moved over 20K lbs of material over the past 3 months and it's been a breeze. The P-handle is very helpful for maneuvering, especially one-handed. So far, cart is still like new and seems indestructible. Shipping was fine, package was not damaged. Yes, assembly is a chore. I was lucky to have a mechanical friend put it together. All the pieces were there and we were able to get it together in about 40 minutes along with just minor difficulties with getting the axle through the hole (tight squeeze). Ratchet wrenches and mallets are helpful. ... show more

  • Hands down the best
Pattern Name: Hand Truck
I’ve moved hundreds of thousands of pounds of products with these for over 20 years. They are expensive but absolutely the best. The closed cell foam tires are excellent for both rough and smooth terrain.

  • Nice hand truck instructions are NOT good
Pattern Name: Hand Truck
Item came no damage and myself and my car mechanic decided to put it together. Looked simple enough but the instructions were for the model with the cast base plate not extruded and the extra instructions that came with the optional baseplate just didn't make sense. There was a part that it showed clearly one direction yet it had to go the OTHER direction. Shame, such a nicely made hand truck to have such poor instructions. Also had to leave out one small washer to get on the wheels, no way to get the cotter pin in with all the washers they suggested. ... show more

  • Good dolly. Not as hard to assemble as I had read.
Pattern Name: Hand Truck
This dolly isn't that hard to assemble. I am not an engineer or a mechanic, I used a socket wrench, wrench, phillips head screw driver, and a pair of plyers. I timed the build and with unboxing and a little clean up it took me 45 mins to complete. I wouldn't say it is easy, but the instructions gave me enough information to complete the build. All the holes lined up and I didn't need to drill out any missing holes. The only time I needed to back track was when I got ahead of the instructions. The dolly itself is very solid dolly, I have used them and have seen many a delivery company use this brand. The box it came in was a little beat up, but that has been my experience with metal objects in cardboard boxes. Nothing in the box was broken and all parts we there. I just mostly wanted to let people know that the assembly isn't the challenge that some made it out to be. Perhaps I was lucky that mine included instructions and all the holes lined up, but its very doable. ... show more
