I am incredibly surprised! I had purchased the “leading brand” for almost twice the price of the Roborock Q8 Max almost 2 years ago and am amazed at the advances and drop in price. The unit obviously uses AI now, learned the layout of my home incredibly quickly and the main difference is it doesn’t just keep bumping into objects instead it literally uses LIDAR to learn its environment. It cleans rather well but to be honest, I’m not using the mop feature. Why bother? It’s all about a quick vacuuming feature! The app is great and has real time updates as to where the unit is (exactly) at any moment in my home. It also tells you the history of where it went with lines representing the exact path. Overall, for the price I am so happy because now when my wife is on our way home since I’m home before her and ask, if I can quickly vacuum, I say, “Sure! And I’ll have Max do it for me!” if you are caught between which Robo vacuum to get, don’t miss this one! It’s the best!

This is our 2nd Roborock vac. and an upgrade. We don't use the mop feature but very easy to turn off in the app on the phone. The suction is very good and ability for it to clean up dog hair is great. The container is a bit smaller but expected since it is a vacuum and mop combo, so they split the space. Some odd reason it does a good job at condensing all the dog hair and compacting it down. Easy to get 2 days' worth of cleaning that runs x2 per day, before having to empty out. Roborocks are noisy but most robot vacuums are, Max and Max+(Cyclone) are very powerful, but the noise is greater with those settings, so use at your own risk for noise control. The changing floor material feature where it changed its suction rate on its own on hardware vs carpet or rugs is very nice and does a great job overall. These rollers are rubber in material and a great if you have animals with longer hair, previous Roborock had the rubber plus bristles -- hair was constantly wound around the brushes and had to be attended to daily. This is much better and no tangles or wraps to undo. Also, cleaning is relatively easy and quick as the important cleaning areas are easy to navigate and get to and properly clean. The software is very easy to setup and configure with very good options for cleaning functions. For the money, I would highly recommend a Roborock over any of the other big Robovac brands as the quality is top notch and the device moves very easily and efficiently.

For the most part is a game changer for a household with cats in terms of keeping up with hair. But I did have to return the first one bc the LiDAR sensor malfunctioned. I have one on each floor of my home, the one I’ve had longer already doesn’t work for one of the room-specific cleanings. I have to just run it as if it was doing an overall cleaning—so map issues with that one.

Ok, I am currently running the machine for the 4th time in my home, which is a 3 bdr, 2 bath, over 2000 sq ft, I dont run in one bed or one bath, so it isnt mapped in the pics provided. Floors are hard wood and tile in kitchen and bath. I am super impressed with the mapping on the app and how thorough the vac is in getting every square inch. If it can possibly fit in, around and under something it will go. I have done multiple settings, not using the mop feature yet as it advises to run a few times before doing so, and it has picked up marbles and heavier things I didn't even know were on the floor. It gets all the fine particles. The noise level depends on the setting but I have been able to watch TV with it running without any issues. It covers every inch on one charge depending on the setting. I had it on turbo and it had to redock and charge to finish an area but still did the job. My home is old and gets dusty so easy. So to have this run daily helps tremendously, not to me tion I have 2 dogs and keeps the floors free from the dog hair. I dont know about long term use or mop yet but will repost in a few months time. So far, I have to say, I will cry if I have to live without it even a day!! The price is excellent for what you get. It does not empty itself but cant be any easier. I have back issues and to sweep and mop all this square footage was a monumental chore for me so I had let it go. With that said, only after the 3rd use I turned it over and did all the recommended cleaning/maintenance and it was SO easy... I watched a YouTube video 1st on recommended cleaning and maintenance before I did it. I am not one to leave many reviews but am impressed enough to do so.

Would give ten stars if possible. This vacuum is fantastic. I was skeptical that it would be worthwhile but it has quickly proven itself. Does a fantastic job of mapping out the house and does a very thorough job of vacuuming as well. Maps out every room of the house including closets and small niches around toilets, etc as long as the vacuum can fit into the space. Goes under sofas, chairs, tables and even vacuums around each leg of a four leg wooden chair with the rotating brush. You can designate which rooms to be cleaned or initiate whole house cleaning. Vacuum will return to base to recharge if battery runs down and then resume cleaning at the exact spot it left off when battery is recharged. It even tells you what it is doing when it starts back up. Has a double beater bar that works great on removing pet hair from rugs or carpet and it automatically senses when it encounters carpet and turns up the suction. The dust bin is somewhat small so on big Jobs you have to stop the unit and empty the bin every so often. The self emptying version would be more convenient but it is larger and very noticeable. Have not used the mop function but I suspect the small pad would require very frequent rinsing unless the floor was fairly clean to begin with. I also have one of the “dumb” units that randomly bounce around from obstacle to obstacle and in no way compares to this unit. I couldn’t be happier with this vacuum system.
