  • Awesome product
Style: Revo MetroY Pro Standard
This is device is absolutely incredible! Attached is my second scan. You can see it captured the detail of the “leather” right out of the box! The software is awesome too. It allows for accurate and quick merging of scans. the fusion time is the slowest part of the process. This device is pulling around 60 frames per second. This scan only took about 4 minutes and ended up being around 12,000 shots. The included auto turn table syncs up with the software too almost making this a “setup and grab coffee” procedure. The device does connect over WiFi, so keep in mind you’ll lose connection to the internet unless you can connect with cable. In my opinion it’s a great value for the price, but I could be biased as I have used other scanners and could not produce the results this device effortlessly made. ... show more

  • Extremely accurate, scan slower than other brands, still some bugs on the software & firmware
Style: Revo MetroY Pro Standard
Extremely accurate, from 0.0005”-0.003”, but there are still some bugs on the software & firmware, and scan slower than the other C brand, but more accurate and cheaper.

  • Quality scanner Would be nice if revodesign was more affordable
Style: Revo MetroY Pro Standard
Scanner comes with the metro program that does a lot of the work. But to really get what you need out of this you would need revodesign. It’s like 80$ a month…..I have had to sand some shiny objects to get it to pick up the item. The Metro app cleans up the mesh a bit Most things can be done in fusion360. ... show more

  • Great product, great experience. Best in class.
Style: Revo MetroY Pro Standard
TL;DR If you're shopping for a 3D scanner for medium or small projects like 3D printing, look no further. The Revopoint MetroY Pro is the best for the price range. It comes with a lot more than the competition too, out of the box. I tried the competition first, and ended up returning it. I am very happy I purchased the MetroY Pro instead! PROS + For the price range, this is absolutely the best I tested. + You also get a turntable that syncs with the scanner software to auto scan small objects, using included tripod. + The software itself is intuitive and not difficult (like the competition's). + Their support is great, the website is professional (not cheap like the competitions). + Syncing with my phone was a snap, and actually works (unlike the competition). + The case is sturdy and not too heavy. + A lot more ways to scan with this than the competition. + Great online 'how to' videos available already. + The handheld wireless unit is better designed than the competition, and much easier to use and get working. + "It just works" out of the box + They calibrate it for you before shipping. No need to manually calibrate, though you can if you want to. + It has rubber bumpers placed in the right place so you can put the camera face down on a table. (competition doesn't do this) CONS - There's no off button, you have to unplug it from the power to turn it off. - Like most laser scanners, black or shiny objects are difficult to scan (buy scanning spray for this) - There is a learning curve, but it's not as bad as the competition. - The calibration routine is a little more difficult and time consuming than other brands, but you'll get through it. ... show more

  • So far not so good...
Style: Revo MetroY Pro Standard
Frankly don't get all those 4+ start reviews. IMO this is not really good 3D scanner in a shiny wrap. It has really nice case, 2-axis turn table , tripod and all other accessories, ... and a poor scanner that does not feel like 0.01mm. See the attached images and decide for yourself. I would compare it to something like "Creality Ferret Pro". Add to this glitchy "Revo Metro" and it appears that you pay for your own misery. Tried on M3 Max 36GB Ram and i7 RTX3060 64GB RAM. Mode changes take forever. Markers are never enough, lost track. Alignment errors, ... Crashed on Mac... not good at all. Will try few more days but so far I am pretty inclined to return it. As of now I literally had not a single acceptable scan that could be usable further for 3D software modeling. What the images demonstrate (used 2-axis turntable with tripod only. No "hand scans. These are THE BEST RESULTS I've got) : 1. There is a total tracking and fusion collapse. 2. For a scanner marketed as "industrial-grade" metrology, seeing a simple geometric object like a stapler come out with warped geometry, melted edges, and that "phantom" ring of noise around the base is unacceptable—especially on an M3 Max. 3. Rotational Drift: The curved "smear" at the bottom shows the scanner lost track of the turntable's position and just started "painting" data into empty space. 4. Surface Noise: The "bumpy" texture on the top of the stapler indicates either overexposed or the software's "point cloud fusion" is extremely primitive. 5. Data Fragmentation: The "eaten away" look in the middle of the stapler happens when the software can't reconcile overlapping frames, leading to holes and misaligned layers. Once again everything is just my opinion. Your experience might be better. ... show more

  • Cannot Scan and have internet at the same time.
Style: Revo MetroY Pro Standard
I assume its better raw functionality-wise than MetroX. Software constantly wants to crash (I am using 64gb of Ram, Nvidia 4080 GPU, and Intel i7 13700K CPU) which should be well withing recommendations. What really mattered to me was the WiFi connectivity but I was disappointed that you can't have ethernet while using this device, meaning I can have no web connectivity while scanning. Great scanner, just wish I could have internet while wireless scanning together. ... show more
