Purchased these for postpartum vaginal delivery care. They melt very quickly. By the time I go to the freezer, put one in my underwear and get snuggled back in bed with the baby, it would be melted. The worse part is, once they melt, your body heat warms up the beads. So if you fall asleep with it in your pants, you wake up with hot crotch! A Ziploc bag of ice wrapped in a washcloth works 1 million times better and it’s free. These are probably better suited for small “boo-boo’s” or little aches and pains. Instead of warmth, I mean cold! I iced these and used them for postpartum cesarean. I purched NYSSA underwear with a pocket for ice packs. These fit perfectly and were very comfortable with the cover they come with, total plus. They are slim so they don't stay cold for too long, But long enough for relief, I'd say about 15 minutes. Super easy to use! I put them in my freezer and within 10 minutes could use them. They're so comfortable that they are easy to forget they are there. Easily fit in the fabric sleeves and can be used by themselves or together. I have yet to heat them but i have no doubt they will work great.
