These are pretty durable. I have been pretty hard on them carrying them around in back on a uhaul and used to build a frame ... but the results are amazing and since I hooked them up I have had no problems keeping up with my electricy usage. These are very good panels. Mid September day aslo in central Indiana, generating ~1080 watts. Agree with other reviews, these panels are big - 44x88in. Had to get a neighbor to help with mounting. All worth it.

I am very happy with the Renogy 590/1,180 watt solar panel set. I live in central Indiana (not the most ideal place for solar panels) so take that into account. I have two of these wired in series, running into a Renogy Rover 60A controller. On a sunny day in September, around noon, running through 150 feet of 8AWG solar wire, I’m getting 1,000 watts. At this time, I doubt I’m getting much from the back side of the panels but I haven’t run any tests on that. I plan on getting some flashing and building some frames to lay underneath and see what happens. The size is definitely a factor when mounting them. Depending on your situation, it can be awkward to get them positioned and fastened down. The weight is not the issue, but the size is. If you are able to walk on all sides of your mounting brackets, then perhaps it won’t be a big deal. My situation was unique so I had four men, (sons-in-law are finally good for something) including myself. Fewer than that would have been very difficult. ... show more
