I’ve never done anything like this before, but it’s now possible thanks to Eco-Worthy. My goal is to use the battery and inverter for the 1-ton air conditioner, clothes washer, and the computer/infoentertainment center as a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) and peak-time electric rate saver. The combination is shipped in 3 separate packages: 1.60-pound Inverter 2. Laptop cable 3.300-pound battery. Once the battery is delivered, the order is considered done, and your return/refund clock starts. Customer service has been great. They called to make sure I got all the packages and answered all my questions and concerns. I use the old incandescent bulb from my old refrigerator to pre-charge/discharge the inverter capacitor to avoid arcing/sparks when connect/disconnect battery cables. You can look it up on YouTube. Once I connect the Ethernet cable between the battery and the inverter, it communicates fine. You might want to check some parameters: 08: Battery type: L16 for 16-cell series such as Powermega. 33: Communication: Pyl 68: I was able to configure its output as 120V (set as 0) as well as split-phase 240V (set as 180). It has settings for me to discharge the battery during peak electrical rate to bypass the grid and charge (during cheap electrical rate). I’ve watched its YouTube video, including how to unpack the very heavy battery, which is very helpful. Each does come with a simple phone app. It could be more sophisticated, but it works for my purpose.

We've had our system up and running for a month. It was very clear and simple how to install the inverter and battery, and we had no problems with them communicating with each other. The app connects to the batter (unfortunately, not the inverter). It is a sunny summer, and the inverter generates quite a bit of heat - it has four 'computer fans' which cools it off well, but bear that in mind if you're installing it in your living room. We have ordered a second battery in order to run our 18,000 btu split unit overnight.

This has been running great so far. I have it integrated into Home assistant for monitoring. I am still waiting on eco-worthy for USB control. I bought the inverter and 1 battery combo. I have had success with ~110v solar panel strings. My system was just shy of the 125v lower limit but it has been working without issue. Solarman is the app needed for the WiFi dongle.
