This works wonderfully! I already have two rescue pets. One dog that has been with us for 8 years and a cat that has been with us for 15 years. Recently I was adopted by a stray/feral 4-month-old kitten, and I accepted her into our home. Once she had her vet visit and no longer had to be quarantined, I needed something to keep her safe while the others adjust to their new little sister. This is exactly what I was looking for. I cleaned the door frame prior to putting it up using an ammonia-based spray cleaner. For the adhesive strips, I cut them into sections instead of long lines so I could more easily control the flow when sticking it on to the frame. Putting it up took me all of maybe 20 minutes and I did it by myself. (I'm 5'2) I have a little OCD honestly, so if you don't have that, it may not take as long. The adhesive tape is extremely strong! I didn't have to use any of the tacks for it to be secure. The kitten will climb it all the way to the top sometimes when she sees me coming and it hasn't budged at all. She only weighs around 4lbs right now, so as she gets a little bigger if it is still needed, I will see if the tacks become necessary. The screen is also extremely durable since it has held up to her claws when she does climb. There have been no snags or tears at all. The zipper runs smoothly and seems very durable as well. I was concerned at first if the zipper would end up giving out, but I feel very confident in it at this point after so much use. The only thing is, watch the tape backing as you're pulling it away. It happened a few times that I would be in a rhythm with adhering it to the frame and realize that not all of the backing was coming off. A few times it would partially tear away leaving thin strips of the backing still on. Since I had cut the adhesive tape in sections and was going slowly, I was able to lift it back up a little and remove the strips of the backing. I LOVE this cat screen! I’ve adopted a 9yo that was 4 paw declawed:( so climbing isn’t an issue. I wanted her to have more than one room so I needed to block off a hallway without ruining the walls. I used the included roll of sticky Velcro to make a stripe across the screen a few inches from the top and bottom and rolled over the top and bottom of the screen to make pockets for these tension rods. (I put one row of stitches down the line of Velcro but I don’t think it was necessary) AIZESI 2pcs Spring Tension Curtain Rod, 28 to 41inch (white), Adjustable Small Tension Rods Spring Loaded Curtain Rods No Drilling Extension Rod Spring Rods These rods come with plastic mounting brackets to keep them from slipping down the wall. Instead of using their own (non removable) glue, I put a sticky command strip on them. Instead of using the roll of sticky Velcro to attach the sides of the screen to the wall, I used the Command Strip picture hanger Velcro strips about 2-3 feet up the wall. The rest of the side stays tightly against the wall. It sounds like a lot but the whole thing took 10-15 minutes and definitely solved a problem. It seems very sturdy but my cat isn’t a climber. My 92yo mom stumbled into it without doing any damage to the screen or herself so….I’m good. I’m not using the screen quite how it was intended and it’s still the best thing I’ve seen. The hallway is slightly over 36” and I was afraid the 36” inch screen would be a little too small but, i think it would have actually been a better fit. I am so glad I found this!!!! I adopted a cat from the shelter I work at 2 1/2 years ago. When I introduced her to my other cats, it took her about 2-3 weeks till she came out of the room she was in to explore and be around my other cats. A few months later, I moved in with my boyfriend. Since then, she doesn’t like my other cats and doesn’t wanna be near them, which makes them go after her. They’re constantly fighting and I have tried everything to help them get along. Calming plug ins, CBD oil, etc. Nothing was working and I was just at my wits end. I don’t wanna return her to the shelter because she spent most of her life there, after being on the streets. So I’m putting her in a different room, but I didn’t wanna shut her away from everyone completely. I am still gonna work on trying to get them all to get along. I found this and figured it was worth a shot. I’ll try anything at this point! I’ll admit, I wasn’t optimistic because the price was pretty cheap. But I’m glad I took a chance! It was very easy to install! The material seems very thick and durable. It adhesive sticks very well to the door frame and the racks give you extra security. My cats have been trying to pick at it but it’s holding up to their claws very well. I just installed it, so I will say, so far, it’s AWESOME!! If after a while it starts to fall apart, I will update. But so far, I’m loving this! I ordered another one for the bathroom door so I can move her to another room if I need to. ... show more

got this to put up in my doorway to get some privacy from my pets while recovering from a double mastectomy. My a/c unit is in the living room, and closing the door to my bedroom cuts off all the cool air. This way I can still get cool air flow into my room and also have my personal space to recover. I like that it has snap closure straps to hold the door panel open. My only complaint is that the velcro adhesive does pull some finish off of the wood door frame. Obviously if you’re a home owner this is a non issue, but I’m renting so I will most likely have to touch up the frame after removal. Overall good purchase for the price! ... show more

I bought this because my daughters bedroom door needed to be kept open more ofter for better airflow to avoid it getting too hot or too cold. The one issue with this is that our cats LOVE her room and want to be in there getting into mischief and eating her stuffies. I bought this as the solution and it's exactly what we needed! It was easy and quick to install, and it seems very sturdy in how it's attached but also in the quality of the screen itself. The zippers are easy to use making the opening simple and quick to get in and out of. My daughter is very happy and my cats are not impressed, so I highly recommend :) ... show more
