  • Great fan, very breezy, easy installation
I've installed a few fans and light fixtures in my time, this one actually was way easier, but had me stumped (even after reading the directions) just because it was such a different concept than usual! After recruiting some help to make sure my small little brain was making sense of it, it was actually really easy to install with just one person if needed. Much better than most fans where you are trying to balance on a ladder and hold up a heavy motor. Some have hooks and stuff that help, but this was actually much easier even than that (once I figured out what the heck I was doing lol)! After it was installed, it looks very nice and works very well. The breeze is so efficient compared to the one we replaced it with (brown and gold from the 90s) that I wish we would have done it over the summer. Even on the lowest setting (1 of 6) you can feel the air moving and even though the other one we ran 24/7, this one I have actually had to turn off because it can get too cool. It's really amazing how quiet yet powerful this one is! I also like the remote (though I really wanted one without -- one less thing to lose/misplace!) but being able to change the settings and reverse direction without trying to jump for the cord is a nice touch. Before, we had a switch for the light, but now just use the remote. The light I wouldn't want to use as a regular light (we didn't before anyway) it's sort of intense like a spot light, but it does cycle through like a bright, lighter, and warm light, so it will work for what we used our old one for, just supplemental light when needed for finding something on the ground or doing small tasks where more light is needed. To me the light is the only less than perfect thing about the light, if they put some kind of dimmer below the light switch so you could have a dim light on that would be nice, but it works for what we need it for so I would still buy the fan again even without the change. The fan does wobble a bit on higher settings (our old one did too) I think it's the combination of the downrod and the angled ceiling, not any flaw of the fan itself. But on settings where it doesn't wobble (about 3-4) I still have plenty of airflow so again, all is fine. The look is cool and matched well with my other fixtures which was one of the main reasons I purchased, and I like that the blades are almost like a heavy plastic versus wood veneer, the fan blades on our old one got very dirty so I like that I could just take them off and wash them good and pop them back up versus trying to not get them too damp and brush all the dust off then have it on the floor and in the air. All in all, I'm very impressed with this fan and the price, I would highly recommend purchasing and updating the older style fans sooner rather than later! ... show more

  • I bought two, and would buy again
Size: 65 inch with Light Color: 65 inch Walnut Wood
I bought two fans, to replace two ancient fans in a big vaulted ceiling room, one of which the remote control receiver had stopped working on it a year ago. I was dreading this project, as I've had bad experiences replacing ceiling fans before. It's been a long time since I've replaced a ceiling fan, over a decade, maybe two, and I've gotta say, this job was not hard, and this is the easiest ceiling fan I've ever used as a replacement. Everything is pretty straight-forward on how to install it, plus there's a video on this site showing all the installation steps. I loved that it came with wiring-harnesses that could be easily attached and detached. However, there are a few things you should be aware of. 1) When installing the fan-blades, the holes are not equal-distance, so when screwing in the first blade you could attempt to screw it in-between, as in one hole meant for one blade and another hole meant for another blade instead of both holes meant for the same blade. There's no visual markings to help with this, you just have to be aware that the holes may not line up on the first blade, and try different holes if they don't. 2) The LED light is not a standard bulb that can be replaced. It's small LED diodes permanently soldered into the fan. I know LEDs last a long time, in fact the fan that is being replaced had LED bulbs put in over a decade ago to replace the Incandecents it had, and they've never burnt out. However, if/when these LEDs eventually do burn out, you won't be able to easily replace them. Maybe you'll be able to contact this manufacturer if they still exist and maybe they can give you a light kit replacement. But in all likelihood once the LEDs burn out, this fan will be trash and need replaced. That's a problem so far in the future I don't think I'll still own this home at that time. 3) The downrods are not standard size. If you look at buying a longer downrod, there is a standard diameter of downrods, and that standard does not fit this fan. The manufacturer will sell you a longer one, from China, that will take weeks to arrive, and they quoted me $55 per downrod. Which is about 1/3rd the price I paid for the fan on Prime Day deal. Luckily the 10" downrod that was included just barely worked, it almost hits the ceiling on my vaulted ceiling, but it doesn't hit, and I actually like the closer-to-the-ceiling fit giving more space to the room. But I almost had to order that expensive longer downrod and wait weeks for it to arrive. They don't sell it on this site for some reason, nor at a reasonable price. 4) As many others have commented, it can be noisy. When I first installed these fans, they were great, but only a day later, when I put the fans on higher speed, they make an unacceptably loud noise in operation. I can live with it, because 99% of the time I will have the fans on a lower speed that is whisper quiet, but I would not be happy with these if I was wanting to use the higher speeds more often. 5) During installation, you'll need a very small flat-blade screwdriver, that is not included, to turn the screws that attach the house wiring to the fan mount assembly. Luckily, I found one, but that almost ended my installation project because I was doing it at night after the stores had closed. As for the good stuff, I love how easy these were to install compared to fans I've installed long ago, that maybe standard these days, not sure. They look really good in the room I installed them. The airflow is awesome. I love that they connect to WiFi, they work seamlessly with Alexa and the phone app works great, and so does the wall-mounted remote control. The main reason I bought these fans was because they had WiFi and worked with Alexa so it's easy to put the fans and lights on scheduled routines, and that is great. Also I was replacing Hampton Bay fans that I had a wall-mounted holster for their RF remotes, and this fan's WiFi Remote holders fit perfectly into the same holes I already had in my wall for the old remotes, that was a wonderful, serendipitous bonus that I didn't expect, to not have to make new wall holes and patch the old ones. Overall, I'd buy these again, but be weary of the non-standard downrod size if you need a downrod longer than 10", and if you need a lot of airflow these fans can deliver it, but I find the motor noise unacceptable at high speed. NOTE: Six months after I installed these, my house lost power long enough that they disconnected from WiFi. It took me forever to figure out how to get them paired again. You have to use the app, but there is no Regia app in the app store. Their app is called "Smart Life" and once I knew that, then it was easy to pair them again, you can hold down the "8h" button on the remote to force it into pairing mode and listen to it repeatedly beep until you pair it in the app. Also, if the remotes lose connection, you have to turn off power to the fan at the breaker if you don't have a wall switch, then within 30 seconds hold the power button on the remote for 5 seconds, the fan will beep and the remote will work again. ... show more

  • Great service
I bought this fan four year ago. It did not work recently. So I contact their service office. They diagnosed my remote control receiver issues and sent me the repair kit. Now it works fine. Great service!
