Works as advertised
Simple to operate. Comes with all necessary items to set up right away, including batteries for the remote. A short instruction sheet is also included in regard to which button to press and when. My only complaint is that the Panasonic unit, while a decent player in itself, has one of those menus that advertises all the various apps available instead of a clean interface. I just need it to play my Blu-rays and that's all. But that's no big deal once the disc starts playing. So far, it plays all the Region B discs I own without any problem. Arrived in perfect, new condition and promptly after ordering. I'm happy with the purchase.

Great Player for International Discs
This region-free Blu-ray player works well and makes it easy to enjoy movies from different countries. It plays Blu-ray Regions A, B, and C, as well as DVDs from Regions 0–8, without requiring multiple players. Setup was straightforward, and the included 6-foot HDMI cable was a convenient bonus. The picture and sound quality are excellent. This is a great choice for anyone with an international Blu-ray or DVD collection.

Region-Free DVD/Blu-ray Player - Does the Trick for Foreign Releases!
DVD/Blu-ray player solved my issues. The region-free device was just what I needed for some of my discs that would not play on a standard DVD player. Everything, including the remote control, worked well and was very reliable; there were no issues with setting up the player on my system. Very pleased with the equipment, and I received it quickly!

Great With US and Foreign Discs
I bought this 6 mos ago. I've watched both regular, and BR discs, with no problem (I've only used it a dozen times or so). I watch both American discs, K dramas and Chinese dramas (foreign discs mostly come from China). We plugged the player in, and it was ready to go. I was surprised that it recognized automatically whether the disc was a regular DVD or BluRay. I thought I'd have to go thru the menu and select. That wouldn't be a big deal, but this way, it's one less step. The remote works with no problems. The picture is very good, no lagging. I'm happy with my purchase. I would recommend this player.

Great player, bad remote.
Works great right out of the box. Nice compact design. If I had any complaints it would be that the remote buttons are too small and the disc tray is very loud when opening/closing. I can actually hear the gears grinding. Hopefully it won’t impact its lifespan. We’ll see. If you’re looking for a small form factor, simple, stand alone Blu Ray player you really can’t go wrong with this one. But if you want network connectivity and a better remote, go with a Sony.

Watch out for this!! I’ve worn out several players so
If I could give it a zero I would. I spent many hours, days etc etc to get this to work right. Continued to freeze over and over. Yes it’s easy to initially set up, but everything else is NOT! Even setting up subtitles is a pain. I am disabled and housebound so Watching DVDs is all I have to do. I ordered this because I needed Blu-ray for some favorites . I had to give up and try to return it only to find out that putting a box up on a shelf or throwing this junk out is going to cost 20% of 204 plus $7.99 for UPS to pickup. When you’re on soc sec this hurts. I just tell u this so u know to avoid this company and question positive reports unless u really know ur computer ez. I’m used to one button for subtitles etc. Hope u have better luck!

A nice player that works with US region A and region 2 and regions ABC UK discs really well.
It's able to play different regions, regions ABC (which surprisingly is not the same as region A as some players, like one of the newer Sony's blu ray player, cannot play some region ABC blu ray discs), Region B, etc. It will not be able to play PAL formatted discs. The instructions are easy enough. For Region 2 or B, open the tray, press 2, insert the disc, close the tray and it'll switch to region B or 2 blu rays. I have a few movies from England that never reached blu ray in the US so it's great to have those playable now for my TV room. The menu presents 4 sections with easy navigation. Once the disc fully loads, it switches to a blue screen that asks you only to press play. Only limit is the controller is tiny and the buttons so small for little hands. I hope Panasonic makes larger controllers in the future if they continue this model.
