We bought a cheap all region dvd player before this one that did not last. This is worth the money. Some nice bells and whistles and plays great. Well worth the money.

    • A nice player that works with US region A and region 2 and regions ABC UK discs really well.
It's able to play different regions, regions ABC (which surprisingly is not the same as region A as some players, like one of the newer Sony's blu ray player, cannot play some region ABC blu ray discs), Region B, etc. It will not be able to play PAL formatted discs. The instructions are easy enough. For Region 2 or B, open the tray, press 2, insert the disc, close the tray and it'll switch to region B or 2 blu rays. I have a few movies from England that never reached blu ray in the US so it's great to have those playable now for my TV room. The menu presents 4 sections with easy navigation. Once the disc fully loads, it switches to a blue screen that asks you only to press play. Only limit is the controller is tiny and the buttons so small for little hands. I hope Panasonic makes larger controllers in the future if they continue this model. ... show more

works wonderfully. a dvd i'd bought 3 versions of, 1 blu ray, 2 dvds, over the 3 years, none of the subtitles worked. finally, it does. easy to set up, great pucture.

I've always used Panasonic players without an issue. I've tried two of these and neither worked. The first one would glitch repeatedly, every 2 seconds. Bright flash on screen, then start up, then stop. I returned it. The second one was even worse, doing the same thing but also shutting itself off. I am returning it. I'm using an HDMI fed Pioneer surround received with a Vizio big screen. Nothing exotic. ... show more

Unit was shipped quick and no damage to the outer Amazon Box. It played all disc types and regions as described, but know that it would not play Ultra 4k HD discs. But it was not made or advertised for that type, just know that. Unit appearance and packaging was that of a new not used or refurbish, very nice! It was easy setup and use.
