This collar is just as described. It appears to be plenty durable. It's easy to hook the leash onto it. The collar is not thin, it's comfortable for my dog and thick enough that she couldn't possibly break it. Good value! I had ordered a size small collar, but it was too big so I returned it.

I got two of these leash and collar sets - for my 12 year old, big dogs. Gone are the days of them dragging me down the street. If they were still pullers - these leashes and collars wouldn’t work - they’re just not sturdy enough to withstand much resistance, in my opinion. The “welds” aren’t the best and the plastic piece that covers them doesn’t stay put. As for the collars - they’re thin-ish and flimsy but I just need them to hold a tag and a little light and for that, they’re fine! If your dog pulls, if you need a sturdy leash and collar you can count on for their safety and to keep them under control (without fear of breaking), I’d look elsewhere. If your dog is small and chill or large and chill - and just needs a collar and leash as a mere formality - these are wonderful for the price (I believe I paid about $12 for the set?)! I was waiting on new harnesses to be delivered so I attached the leashes directly to the collars for the first week. And my boy sometimes gets an old man dog version of a wild hare and pulls me to sniff something - these held up just fine for that week! I’ll say that. I just wouldn’t push it beyond that tho - the leashes are now clipped to their harnesses again and I feel better about it. So yeah, I’ll buy these again for sure. But like I said - if this was even a year ago - in dog energy and pulling - nope. My dogs are (female) 60 pounds and (male) 80 pounds. But they’re old and chill.

EDIT: It's now been 6 months since I purchased six of these collars. All but 2 have failed. Even my most elderly dog managed to snap the plastic buckle thingee by lunging at a rodent. He's not strong, he's so old I have to help him onto the couch and carry him into the car. Coupled with the perpetually loosening of the collars these are a DO NOT BUY product. Under the wrong circumstance these collars could lead to very unfortunate outcomes. ORIGINAL MESSAGE: I bought three pairs. On about half the plastic bit that helps hold the collar in adjustment has failed. I suspect it happens when my dogs play, but this has never happened before with the exception of a collar I bought from the box store chain owned by the Walton family. (It didn't break it just wouldn't stay adjusted) I would not but again.
