Purchased this helmet to replace an aging Shoei (prob $300.00 when it was new 25 years ago). Most of my riding these days is casual, fair weather, back road chugging, rarely getting much above 45 MPH. Normally, I wear a half helmet but wanted something for those cooler spring/fall New England days. I wasn't prepared to drop another $300 on a helmet I might used 6 or 7 times a year so I ordered this one thinking I could always return it if it was junk. Far from it, while I'm sure it does not afford the level of safety a high end, big name helmet does, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. Fit and finish are decent, vents work well after a few tries, the visor stays where you put it, and the interior fit, while a bit snug, was comfy and will likely get better the more I use it. Wind noise was quite reasonable in my opinion but I'm sure it is higher than a big buck helmet. If you are going to be carving up canyons on a sport bike, spend the extra $$$ and buy a big name helmet. If not, try one of these (or the higher priced version) and you might be surprised. For those complaining about the padding being loose inside, well.. it is removable and washable, so some degree of finagling will be needed to put it back in it's proper place when removing the helmet. ... show more

Just got a used motorcycle and realized it was over 10 years since my last one & needed a new helmet. The price is right for this helmet and it passed the DOT ratings. The vents work as expected but they aren't going to be like a Shoe or Incon that flip open with ease. It could use a few more or even bigger vents though it's sufficient for your weekend rider. It's not too bulky or feel heavy on your head, it compares to the feel of full faced helmets from the 90's & 2000's. You don't have to wear a helmet when driving a motorcycle in my state, but by law everyone has to wear a seat belt in the car. I still wear a helmet for safety and if you ride and ate a bug or two this helmet protects against that also. Good buy over all & super fast shipping! ... show more

Received the helmet and right away I noticed the inside padding/mesh on the top had already fallen down/out. The entire inside of the helmet wasn’t put together and I had to put the padding back together. The only good thing I liked was the chin strap and how easy it was to clip it on. As for shipping, when it arrived it was in its original box with not padding for protection. In transit there’s no telling how many times the helmet was dropped. This is an important piece of safety equipment and I not sure it will protect me in a fall. Update 10/22/18 I changed my rating to 1 star. I’ve been trying to get a fix for the liner of my helmet from the company and no one was responded. The helmet vents do not work, the lining keeps falling out, just a bad product. ... show more

I bought this helmet for my wife for a 1800 mile trip to Pikes Peak and a loop through Colorado. The only intension of this helmet was to wear it at night while driving to survive any bug impacts and to use it for any rainy weather. As you can see by the picture, the bugs and weather could have a significant impact on how our trip would go. I don’t have any pics of the helmet but we kept them stored right behind the front fender with some cargo nets. You can see mine on the drivers side (it’s an Icon) stored in a bag. Which, by the way, the helmet comes with a bag. Not waterproof or anything fancy, just a soft bag like all other helmets come with. I had wondered if it would because I don’t recall anything mentioned about bags. The helmet worked great. Especially in the downpour of rain that we had on the way home. I’d say we took on 55—60 mph raindrops as we were driving and never a leak, which kept my wife happy. I don’t ever want to be the person who does a review on a helmet and tells you if it works well in a crash but for what we used it for, it worked great. Very comfortable. Easy face shield to lift up and down. Very easy chin strap. I would buy this again. ... show more

    • Liked it so much, I bought a 2nd BUT

I bought one for my son last week and was so impressed with it I bought another to replace my current helmet. The second one I received wasnt nearly to the same standards as the first one. There were scratches and scuff marks visible across the matte black exterior, the rubber guard on the nose peice had been glued on but was half falling off, the side pads were loose, kind of just thrown in the box. All of these were minor issues except for the last bit. The visor was cracked, broken and thrown loosely in the box also. I suspect this second helmet was returned previously and wasn't checked over before it was sent back out. So 3 stars total average, 5 for the first one, 1 for the second ... show more

it es very comfortable and neat looking. fell once from my scooter and bumped my head. this protected me. it did not bend in, it didn't scratch deed, and the glass didn't even crack. very good buy for me. would def recommend it.

It fits well and is comfortable for long periods. I used it at a weekend long riding academy hosted by Harley Davidson and was pleasantly surprised at the performance given the heat (95) we had this weekend. The only reason it is not a 5 star is that the flap you pull on to release the chin strap began to fray after the first day. Otherwise, it is a solid helmet. ... show more
