Color: Purple
I bought this training collar for my dog and honestly, it has been a great investment. From the first use, I noticed how easy it is to set up and operate. The remote responds quickly and has a good range, which is very helpful when we’re outdoors. I really like that it offers multiple modes (sound, vibration, and shock), so I can choose what works best without always using the strongest option. With just the sound and vibration, my dog started improving his behavior within a few days, so I’ve barely needed to use the shock feature. The collar is comfortable, adjustable, and feels durable. Another big plus is that it’s rechargeable, so I don’t have to keep buying batteries. The battery life is excellent and charges pretty fast. Overall, it’s a very effective, practical, and well-made product. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an easier and more controlled way to train their dog. ... show more

  • 👌 It’s perfect 👌 It’s perfect
Color: Purple
I’m honestly very impressed with this training collar. The quality feels great, and the design is really cute and lightweight, which is perfect for my dog. It was super easy to set up and start using right away. What I love the most is that it offers different modes like beep, vibration, and adjustable levels, so you can train your dog gently and effectively without being harsh. The remote is simple to use, and the range works really well. I’ve noticed a big improvement in my dog’s behavior in just a short time. It’s definitely a helpful tool when used correctly and responsibly. Overall, I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a reliable and humane training solution for their pet. ... show more

  • I have a whole different dog now!
Color: Grey
I have a 6 month old beagle pup and she is so stubborn. She pulls so much choking herself, she cant be free around my older chihuahua because she’s too energetic, and she barks incessantly when in a pen. No amount of training or correction I tried seemed to be working and it was starting to become exhausting. But within minutes of using this collar she was a completely different dog. I only use the beep and vibrating options and I don’t ever think I will need the shock option. She responded immediately to the vibration. It did freak her out at first and she was a bit timid the first evening. But I am rewarding her with treats and praise as she reacts and stop the negative behavior. That seems to be working wonders and she’s not afraid of it as much. She’s able to wander freely with my other dog and whenever she becomes too playful, a simple beep usually gets her attention to stop. I love the remote, it’s simple, sleek ,and small with a nice silicone feel so it doesn’t fall out of your hand. The collar is also sleek and simple. I had a lot of extra collar strap but instead of cutting it, I was able to fold it backwards and tuck it into the buckle part so I can make it larger as she gets older Btw I tried the shock on my hand to see how it felt and I couldn’t really feel it till level 4 & 5. It wasn’t that bad just a quick tingling pulse. Not sure that she’d even notice till it was at level 7 or something if she was running around like crazy. 1 1/2 year update: collar still works well. You have to have the collar very tight for it to be effective. It was a great tool in training my dog as a pup, nice to have an immediate way of stopping bad behavior instead of yelling no and running after her to try and catch and correct her. I mostly use it now when she’s out in the yard cause she eats and digs up everything. I have gotten the zap setting maxed up to 16 though with no reactions from her (when she’s eating something, ugg beagles 🙄) but other times a 7 will get her to yelp so it seems a little inconsistent. Not sure if it’s the collar or my dog that’s the issue though 😂. For the price and for smaller dogs I’d definitely recommend. Not sure it would be effective for larger dogs though. ... show more

  • Good for dogs with short hair
Color: Pink
I feel like it works pretty well my dog has long hair so I use the extra prong and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t just because of her hair but it’s a really good product and the battery lasts a long time!

  • Reliable and Effective--So Good I Purchased a 2nd Time
Color: Grey
This collar and remote are by far the most effective I've tried. This review is for the second collar/remote set I've purchased. I've previously purchased several really junky units, or units that I felt were uncomfortable for my dogs. This collar and remote are so much better. The collar unit has three sensations--a beep, a vibrate, and a "zing" (that's what I call it). The beep and vibrate are self-explanatory. The "zing" is interesting, because it is NOT an electric/battery shock like people often think when they see my dogs wearing their collars. The zing feels like a weak version of a "TENS" device stimulation. A lot of physical therapists use the TENS device after a treatment. The sensation doesn't hurt, but it's not comfortable. It's a very weird, gross feeling. It's so hard to explain unless someone has either used a TENS or put the collar on their skin and zinged themselves (which is a REALLY important thing to do, by the way, just to know what your dog will experience). I have one dog that is 17 pounds and another that is 105. My 17-pound guy is a major barker. He HATES the vibration mode. The beep is enough of a deterrent if he hasn't worked himself into a frenzy (which happens quickly, lol), but when I press the vibration button, he stops. The only times I've used the third sensation (I call it the "zing" mode) are once when he ran into the road and wouldn't respond to my call, and recently he started chasing someone's chickens. My 17-pounder (Boo) is the reason I initially purchased the collar, but somehow I lost the remote. We HAVE to have the collar for Boo. The remote can actually run TWO collars by sliding a button (up for one collar and down for the other). So, I purchased a second collar/remote combo (so then I had the new collar, the old collar and a new remote). I programmed the new remote to operate both the old and the new collars. My big guy (Sunny) is a thick-necked, 105-pound lab/retriever mix. The same collar adjusts to be big enough to fit him at the largest point. I hardly ever have to move past the beep with Sunny. It's loud and it irritates him. He'll usually shake his head and stop barking when he hears it. I've only had to use vibrate a handful of times. I have never once had to zing him. The collars have been so helpful, and if these wear out, I will definitely be repurchasing if needed (if I lose the remote again, lol). ... show more

  • Research paid off! And not expensive.
Color: Grey
After purchasing a Pituau, (to me it's like something PRE-PROGRAMED) dog barking collar and be coming frustrated which is not good. The dog can pick-up on your emotions. So, I DID MORE RESEARCH and tried "This brand, Bousnic and it's (OMG) hands down!" Easy to use. You must be vigilant and on top of situations when they start! Having the handheld receiver at all times should be a must to redirect the dog promptly. If not, the signal/training will confuse the dog. (Be observant if you want good results, there are 3 steps you can use to resolve your issues. Sound, vibrate and electric stimulate). The U shaped metal extender works very well with dogs with long or thick fur. I WOULD "_NOT"_ RECOMMEND THIS AS A PUNISHMENT!! This is not why this product was made. I use it during the day for barking and remove it in the evening when it's bedtime. Just the "sound" mode has worked for me. You have to read this and understand the use of it. I would highly recommend. (wish the handheld part came with some type of hook on it to attach to belt, pants or shorts etc). ... show more

  • Brutally honest review. READ BEFORE BUYING
Color: Green
It’s a decent collar for the price.(got mine on sale and coupon). But there’s a few caveats a few things that just suck. The remote has no clip or storage so you have to hold it or put in your pocket. That’s not terrible but can become annoying. Remote turns off after 30 seconds but will come back on if shock is used. If not button must be pressed. Now for the bad. My box didn’t come with a Manual but it did come with Papers in a foreign language. No user instructions. It’s pretty self explanatory but there’s a switch on the side that will change the (mode?) to 1or2. When I have the remote on 2 it does nothing. I have assumed this to have something to do with the collar itself and the button but I have yet to figure that out. I have read reviews of it shocking on its own and that has not happened to my dobie in the almost 1 year of use. Durability is not great on the collar. Some piece of plastic on the strap part broke so it kind of hangs (as seen in photo). I have also read reviews that the shock doesn’t always work or never does. I’ve not had this issue with Brutus as far as I know. Lastly the levels are pretty good I’ve tested 1-16 myself and I’ve not gone that high on my boy It zaps pretty good but also the beep is just enough that they can hear even when barking or playing. It’s got a strong vibrate but I don’t use it as it makes my dobie go nuts. It charges well and stayed charged for a while even under heavy use. I got the green to stand out from his black coat and I like it. ... show more

  • Works well and more streamlined than older yellow model, however, needs a few tweaks for 5 stars
Color: Grey
We were happy to test this updated version of the Bousnic Shock Collar on our 12 pound Bichpoo in many different outdoor environments. We had already been using the earlier model, which has the yellow colored remote and a slightly bulkier collar profile, and have been very happy with the many features included therein, such as, a REALLY long battery life, easy charging capability, the collar receiver device vibrates when it gets powered off, the yellow remote has a nice identifiable color and grippy feel, the yellow remote has a convenient wrist strap to which we have added our own neck strap so it could be used hands-free. On the other hand, the newer model has a sleeker profile than the older one for both the receiver and the remote. The newer receiver has two rubber prongs that seem shorter than the older model, however, if your dog has long fur or a thick neck there are extension prongs that supposedly help. Our dog's neck is small so we didn't need to use the extensions. One downside that we encountered, however, is that unbeknownst to us, the prongs got loose over time (we never had this problem with the older model). We didn't realize that the prongs in the newer model easily unscrew themselves with the constant friction against our dog's fine hair, and, unfortunately, one of them fell off and became lost. We will contact the manufacturer to see how we can get a replacement because without both prongs the device is much less effective. The newer light gray hand held remote is shorter and has a nice look to it, however, we really miss the wrist strap for better security and/or to make it into a hands-free option. This is especially helpful when you have to hold your dog's retractable leash in one hand once you want to go off leash with the e-collar on. Also, a minor downside to the gray color of the newer remote it that it is a little harder to identify and locate when placed on a cluttered counter or tossed in a bag/purse. Overall, the sound and vibrate settings work really well on our dog. Typically all we have to do to get her attention and come back to us immediately is to press the top sound button. We rarely have to resort to the vibrate option. We have never used the shock option because the other two sound and vibrate buttons are effective in getting her to stop in her tracks. One reason we think the Bousnic E-collar has worked so well for us is that we started using it soon after we got her when she was a young puppy. Now at 1 year and 4 months, she responds very well simply to voice command. We still use the e-collar on her when she is off leash at the beach, in the woods, or open fields just for safe measure if she were to go behind a tree or romp off in the distance and we want her to come back within view. One never knows if a squirrel or another distraction may suddenly catch her attention and lead her to go a bit astray. The e-collar gives us a lot of peace of mind when she is off leash. We attribute our positive results to early intervention, consistent use of the well designed Bousnic e-collar (we used older the yellow version) and our dog's intelligence. We would highly recommend the e-collar with a few tweaks: advise owners to check and tighten the rubber screw-in contacts of the collar device frequently and improve the design so they don't unscrew so easily, add a strap to the hand remote, perhaps add a flash of color or bright logo somewhere so it's easier to identify, and restore the vibration shut off feature back into the collar receiver device, and perhaps better weatherproofing. The newer collar device is slightly more sleek and maybe a tiny lighter. This matters especially for smaller dogs such as ours. One last comment is about the buttons on the remote. Since we take our dog to the beach a lot, granules of sand tend to attach to the button panel of the remote. I wonder if there is a way to have a more impervious seal between the buttons and housing of the remote so granules cannot get stuck or even water droplets in case it rains or snows? There is a warning that the remote is not waterproof. Maybe at some point the design can be tweaked to be more weatherproof and less vulnerable to sand and dust particles entering into the button crevices. Thanks for this opportunity to test a really good device. I would highly recommend the Bousnic shock collar with the few reservations I have mentioned. ... show more
