  • A mixed bag.
I do not like buying gym equipment. More specifically, machines. I had a gym membership that basically offloads the machine buying/maintenance duty to a local gym. Alas, the gym is very much closed, and every opportunity to go out and run is an opportunity to get sick. Time for a gym equipment. I've bought this rower because it was from a reputable brand, although not as a company making gym equpment (Reebok makes rowers? Since when?), and it was less than half of the cost of an equipment one would be using at a gym. It was also not a random company with names you've never seen before and definitely not because it's a boutique company. Amazon sure has a lot of those... and one of those could be an OEM for this rower, but I digress. Right. So pros: - Parts quality seems to be largely good. All screws look good. Metal parts do not look or feel flimsy. Very nice. - Flywheel is smooth and quiet. - Rail feels like quality. Seat glides like butter on a hot pan. Cons: - The plastic body of the rower feels... less than confidence-inspiring. It feels really cheap, but at least it's not "I paid $5 for a product directly shipped from Chinese factory and it broke in half when I looked it wrong" cheap. It feels flimsy and the side flexes a lot. But then, it IS a budget unit compared to your expensive machines, soooo - Buttons are enigmatic, although I guess you can kind of figure it out? Sort of? Hmm. - The electronics are plug-in only. And it's with a dinky DC adapter... and the adapter is tiny with a short cord. I would've preferred it if it had a rechargeable battery/generator combo, but I might be asking for too much for this price point. Extension cord recommended. - Instruction manual is also enigmatic. It includes an assembly guide (thorough, but kind of in an IKEA sort of way) and "operating manual," which was a big sheet of paper for all of Reebok's exercise machine product line, with maybe a paragraph dedicated to the rower. No mentioning of what the buttons do. Sidenote: - Tighten the center bolt when you exercise. And I mean tighten it. Do it real good. Otherwise it'll feel real cheap and you'll complain that the rower lifts up with every pull. - The back support/leg is slanted, and while the picture tells me to mount it with the support leaning inward, the slant itself seems to want me to mount it outward. Which is right, and does it make a difference? I'm kind of figuring the machine out as I go. I hope the machine can hold up. ... show more

  • Okay for the price, but wouldn't normally be my first choice
I bought this while everyone is in quarantine for covid19 (hello spring 2020). All gyms are closed and plenty of people rushed to buy what little equipment existed the first few days. So it became a game of weighing options of what I could get relatively quickly, that's still good quality, and a decent price. I like Reebok shoes and other products, so I thought this would be a good buy. The assembly was fairly simple. Beware the hardware is on a flat card the size of sheet of paper and it's hidden somewhere. I had to pull out all the packaging materials and look twice because I thought it was missing. It could easily be put in the bag with the instruction manual....but I found it. Quality seems decent. You will likely need an extension cord because the control panel is powered with a short cord, not batteries. I'm sure the description says that, but I just didn't think about it. The foot panels are enormous and block shaped. Last complaint, and it's kind of a big one, the front of the rower comes off the ground when I row. I'm a former crossfit goer and currently an Orangetheory member, so those are the two types of rowers I'm used to. So I guess I need to find something heavy to sit on it?? Being about the third of the cost of a Concept2 rower, I still feel like I got a good deal considering the situation. It also shipped in 3 days versus most higher quality items are sold out for the next month. However, under normal circumstances, I would not purchase this rower again. ... show more

  • Great value for a quality item - perfect for home use
I've had my rower for a few weeks now and I'm really impressed with it. The rower needs a small amount of assembly but it was quite easy. I have limited space so I love that I can fold the rower by simply unscrewing one bolt. I've added a picture of the rower folded - once folded it fits through a standard size doorway. The machine itself has lots of great features : - Velcro feet straps to keep your feet firmly in place when rowing - An LCD screen with all the stats you need to monitor your workout including HRM - There are loads of pre set workout routines which I really enjoy - Lot's of different resistance levels - I'm still using lower resistance but nice to know as my fitness improves I can still use it at a challenging level Overall I'm super happy with my purchase and highly recommend this rower. I will update once I've had the item for a longer period. ... show more

  • What a joke
The box was a little banged up but I didn’t think too much of it. After pulling everything out, I read the assembly manual. The manual is a total joke- it has awful pictures that don’t show clear instructions at all. After getting over halfway through assembling, I realized the screen and I’ll part of the rower are broken. I seriously have to disassemble this to return or exchange it? What a joke. ... show more

  • No hardware included
Received the rower but it’s pretty hard to use since it didn’t come with any hardware. Now I just have a minefield of giant metal parts all over my living room.
