I bought two of these, and was really impressed with them when I saw them. I cut them and installed them according to directions. One of the two pulled away from the window casing. I called the manufacturer, RediShade. They were polite and prompt, but said that they could not send me additional double-sided tape to replace the ineffective tape that it came with, but they could send me an entire new blind. I thought that wasteful, so I declined. I also purchased two larger versions of this same blind, and one of them just came loose after three weeks. I called again, and got the same message. I think it is a terrible waste to have two new blinds sent to me when all it needs is more tape. I ending up buying some double-sided tape here on Amazon. They have a defective manufacturing process and replacement policy.

Just like prior reviews, these shades are a beast to cut! My window measurement for an inside mount was exactly 71 inches. I ordered 2 of the shades, in the natural color, which combined is 72 inches. Thus, I had to cut only 1 inch. You will need a nice, sharp, heavy cutting utensil. The instructions suggest a smooth kitchen knife - don't be fooled. Honestly in hindsight I'd even suggest taking to a hardware store to have them cut the shade(s) for you. And like many other reviews, they did not stick well to my painted window sills. I had to use some Gorilla Glue Super Glue and voila = my shades are now up. For the price point, they are just fine. They work well with my room darkening curtains to create a very dark room at night.

Hey, so I have a window with a crank on it. I did the custom cut with a kitchen knife and It's the simplest yet prettiest blind I've ever installed. Did I mention that I used to sell blinds, so I've actually installed plenty. full out 5 stars, even if I have to someday use 3m doublestick tape to refresh the stick-to-it-ive-ness. Good product. The style design is very nice. No tools were needed to install the shade. The adhesive used should be wider from front to back of the headrail so that it stick & stays in place more securely & not fall. There seems to be tiny areas on the front of the shades at the points where the pleats fold that allows the white side (back) of the shade to become slightly visible throughout the shade. A small amount of light filters through. That is not conducive to a light blocking shade.

Not easy to install. The instruction is not clear. I don’t usually write review but I’m very disappointed by this product. 1. Please consider the white shade, the natural color is darker than photo and is actually brown color. 2. My shade came with only one cap. The other one was missing. I already installed so won’t be able to return. 3. The kitchen knives would work- but not as easy as they showed on the images. The shade is very difficult to cut! I wouldn’t purchase it if I knew how hard to cut. I spend an hour cutting it with a kitchen knife and end up using scissors. The scissors are easier to use than kitchen knives, but won’t give you a clean cut. 4. The ruler is misleading. I only cut one end and used the ruler on the shade, and ended up one inch longer than my frame. I had to cut again to fit in the frame. Maybe I should cut both ends? I don’t see instructions about it tho. Be aware of this and use an actual ruler when cutting it. I bought it on sale and it worths what I paid. I wouldn’t pay full price for this product.

I replaced all my clunky heavy blinds with these. This blind is amazing. Very light blocks a lot of sunlight and looks professional inside the frames of my windows. No drilling holes in the frames. No pull cords that the cats bang around. One more time I’ll mention it. They simply look great! My only con it that you do have to cut them down to fit in the window and after about five blinds my Hans and wrist were sore. It’s totally doable and worth it but it’s a work out cutting them. I ended up using a hack saw that worked best for me. The ends get a little frayed but the blinds come with end cap pieces to cover the ends up. So yeah great product.
