This beach beverage playset is part of Mattels new "made from recycled plastics" set. Considering that Barbie "lives" in a pretty much plastic world, this is a big step in a good direction from Mattel. The playset even includes a working recycling container with a swinging panel to push items through. All of the packaging was recyclable & there was a lot less of it than usual. The playset came with assembly instructions & was easy to put together & set up. I got this set for repainting & altering as part of a diorama. The elements of the playset are pretty simple. The only potential problem I see with it is that since it is very narrow front to back, it might be a bit "tippy" when children play with it. Overall, I'm satisfied with this purchase & hope that Mattel continues to produce items from recycled materials. ... show more

We were really looking forward to this. We bought one of the new barbies and volleyball set. This set is cute but a serious pain to assemble! Love the colors. We like it once assembled looks wise, but my 10yo was so frustrated with putting it together, that she decided she didn’t want to play with it. 😥 She normally can assemble these items herself as she prefers it that way. She finally asked for help, and I was totally understanding her frustration! I do believe once she comes back to it that she will like it. Again, it is super cute. I would suggest if you buy this to assemble it for your kid and give it to them fully ready. 😃 Packaging was great, and easy to open. Cute accessories come with it. ... show more
