Update: I’ve been using this Rec Teq smoker grill for about a month now and I have to say “I love this grill”. I have made pork butt, burgers, chicken and salmon and every one has turned out phenomenal. I really like the included temperature probes. I now cook to a certain temperature rather than what looks done. Did I mention that I love this grill? Ordered this Rec Tec from Amazon. I could have bought it from the Rec Tec store in Georgia but it was the same price there and I get 5% back on my Amazon Prime account. It arrived in 2 boxes but there were no assembly instructions. I had to go online to watch a YouTube video on how to assemble (great video by the way). Easy to assemble with just a phillips screwdriver. You can tell the quality when you start taking the part out of the boxes. The gauge of steel used is substantial. It just has the feel of a well made product. I did the initial burn in and the grill/smoker worked flawlessly. I think this is going to be a long love affair. ... show more

This was on black friday sale and I was able to purchase this and a cover for less than regular MSRP. I bought the shelf from the Recteq site directly since they were not available on Amazon. Imparts a lot of flavor and seems to control the temp as well as any other smoker out there. Claims to have a PID controller but it definitely fluctuated more than I'd expect. Maybe it was due to the temperature outside (winter). Very easy to use - it's a pellet smoker, man. The size was perfect for what we needed. It'll fit a brisket and then some, or a medium spatchcocked turkey. We don't host MAJOR events, so a brisket is plenty for any potluck we attend. Plenty of space for chicken thighs, burgers, etc. Seems made of sturdy material. Quality construction. Comes mostly assembled - you just need to get the legs and handles on. Directions are via video, which is less than ideal. Overall, it fits all of my needs. Just kinda annoyed the wifi is so wonky. ... show more

The best pellet grill for its size, bar none. I didn't want a grill and smoker any bigger than I needed since it is just a waste of pellets and space. This is every bit as good as the Recteq big boys since it has the same features. It isn't a portable or a cheapened version. This is the real deal, only smaller. Still big enough for a 14lb brisket and a smoke tube. What more could I want? ... show more
