I am a mini PC lover. These devices have come a long way thanks to AMD over the past few years. We have 4 TVs at home and every TV has its own PC. This is our 3rd AMD Ryzen mini PC. We have two Ryzen 5 5800H Minis, one with 32gb ddr4 and one with 16gb ddr4 ram. Those work really really well for our uses, but the Vega 8 graphics are nowhere near this newer 7840HS with 780M. I benchmarked this 7840HS 780M with Passmark, and the CPU scores ~31,200, and the 3D mark portion is in the ~7,900 range. My old 2010 Tower w/ Core i4 and a 1050ti card that this mini PC is replacing only scored 4,400 on the cpu and 6,800 on gpu. This PC is a beast for the price and will work well for most games on low/mid settings. It is an excellent space saver and comes with a bracket you can use to mount it on the back of a monitor or TV. Hopefully the RAM prices will come down soon and the mini PCs can become cheaper. I missed the ball on buying one cheaper just 4-6 months ago.

Solid performance for a low entry cost

Gonna get straight to the point. If you want steam deck performance++ this will do it and more. You will need 32gb ram to take full advantage of the Ryzen chip. It rocks the 780m and surprising does a fantastic job playing games. But don’t expect to hit super high frame rates on most games, likely somewhere between 60-75fps with FSR on 1080p and boost on. For me I use it for blender and unreal engine dev, no issues, runs like a champ. In fact I tried it on older MMO Black Desert and wow it held up very well under Remaster mode/high/amd fidelity on/1080p getting 60-80fps. For reg browsing works exceptionally well with lots of browser tabs open no slow down. Overall I like it and would get it again if I had to.

Small box, big snap. Setup was simple, if a little more step heavy than a larger preloaded beast, but it booted fast, then handled everyday stuff without flinching (browsing, light photo viewing, too many tabs). Cyberpunk 2077 actually ran and looked tolerable at living room distance, which is what more than I hoped for from this chip. Fans stay reasonably silent under load and the case feels sturdy enough to toss behind a monitor. WiFi was stable and the triple display option may work but I never had more than 2. Ports are generous and all over this thing, and the storage is nvme quick. I did not think about RAM once, but the bottleneck is the GPU on anything small anyway. Price lands in the sweet spot for a do-everything mini that covers light gaming, home theater, and work without hogging space. Easy recommend if you want power that hides. Power that hides would be a great band name, trademark that Reatan.

My laptop has been my gaming and work computer for several years but is beginning to lag a little with newer games. I also have an indoor cycling setup that runs a game as well so in the future I hope to have this set up as a gaming and cycling computer only and use my laptop for general use. I was able to get this plugged in and running in a reasonable amount of time and was able to play a game that didn't work in my last laptop so I'm very pleased. Price seems to be within reason for similar computers with similar specs. I like the included bracket to mount on the back of the monitor, as for some reason that didn't cross my mind as a possibility, but as soon as I saw the bracket I realized that was the purpose.

This is my first mini PC and I am pretty blown away. I've always been skeptical of how they would perform, but I was pleasantly surprised by this model. It is easy to set up (took me a few minutes) and really powerful for a mini PC. I tried a few games on it, which while they don't require a top end PC, have worked very well with this mini PC. Games like League of Legends, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Magic The Gathering: Arena can be played on maximum settings and worked without issue for me. But I think games like the newer Call of Duty titles might be a little much for this mini PC unless you play on lower settings. It is currently listed at $539.99 with a $100 coupon, which makes it more than reasonably priced considering it has features like 1 TB SSD, newest version of Bluetooth, 32 GB memory, and fully licensed version of Windows which makes it ideal for users like me - I don't play ultra high powered games, I mainly use my computer to type, watch TV/movies, use the internet, email, etc. It performs quickly and now I am convinced I won't need a large traditional PC moving forward. The only negative reviews I see so far are questioning durability, in the event I run into any problems there I'll update this review. But for now I think you get a lot of power for the price. 5/5. Highly recommended!
