  • So far so good! Serious issue but not amazons fault.
I ordered this to my parents place because they are getting older and I want to work from their house so I can come visit more often (I live many states away). Working in the VFX industry I really needed a rendering rig and this thing blew my expectations. The only downside was that it came two days earlier then expected and no one was home and the UPS guy just left it there even though it said someone needs to sign. So two freezing (20f) days later I got to my parents seeing it just outside in the snow. I was worried and let it sit in the living room for a day without powering it on. Booted it up now and everything seems to be working perfect! Crossing my fingers nothing changes! Will make the review 5 stars if nothing goes wrong here in a week. ... show more

  • Graphics card runs extremely hot and fans do not work
Looks great and can go , but for the price there is a lot of issues. The biggest for me are as follows. The graphics card runs hot to the point where it throttles itself and is noticeably slower. One of the fans is broken. The machine already runs very hot when gaming and sounds like spaceship taking off . I took of the side panel only to find one if the fans isn't working and the gigabyte 3090 runs too hot. Hottest and loudest machine I've ever owned. Ive only owned for a week but i will be returning the PC. It could be I was shipped a lemon but who knows. ... show more

  • Lived up to my expectations
Shipped securely with great packaging. Awesome looking tower. Have 2 minor complaints. 1. A Tower that weighs in at 68 lbs should have a lift handle for safety because of the tempered glass. 2. Would have been nice to include a CD/DVD Drive. Overall I'm very satisfied with the purchase.

  • Very Nice Machine, however., not perfect.
Holy Hell.... So purchased this new PC last December. For the past month, it started buzzing like a failing mechanical hard drive. I replaced the two mechanical drives with SSD's. Still the noise persisted. Then I suspect maybe a fan. I stopped all fans in this machine (radiator fans, video card fans, and case fans) and the sound persisted. Meticulously cleaned the machine and the sound persisted. Was ready to send the machine in for warranty. Based on subtle clues, I decided to reinstall Windows 11 from scratch. This machine came with 11 installed and I upgraded to Pro for work. So I go to Microsoft and build a USB reinstall stick. I boot to the stick and the install says my machine is not in spec for Windows 11... OMFG!!! The damn thing came with it installed. So now I narrow things down to the BIOS on the machine. I flashed the BIOS to the latest version and now the Windows 11 install works. I hold off on that and boot into my current install and the thing blue screens every time I boot into it. So I format 7TB of system and games (keeping all my work stuff in tact), and started re-installing Windows 11 Pro. This computer is WHISPER QUIET now and running so much faster now!!! It's just going to be a lot of work re-installing everything. Message here: Do not let someone do something for you that you can do better.... This was the 1st pre-built machine I have ever bought. It failed because of build oversights and lack of attention to detail. The machine is awesome now! ... show more

  • Dead on arrival/Dead GPU - Flimsy Assembly
Nothing works. Press the power button, the RAM and the MB light up but there are no lights on the GPU. Checked the wiring as instructed in the manual but looks like a dead GPU. Plugging the HDMI into the MB jack doesn’t work either, which means this was NEVER TESTED BEFORE SHIPMENT. Looks like whoever assembled it was probably doing it for the first time or was in a hurry. Terrible especially considering its a $4000 machine. The GPU PCIE slot seems to be broken during the assembly (check the picture), missing screws on the cabinet and similar. Horrible experience. Thankfully I didn’t sell off my old PC for this even though I was getting a good value. I had done a much better job assembling my first pc than whoever did this. ... show more

  • Haven't tried tech support
System runs well for the price. Plays games well but has issues running some games like CoD: Black Ops Cold War which seems to be related to the XMP Profile. If you turn off the XMP Profile and run the system at the base rate the stability issues resolve. The system runs warm for a water cooled processor. Reaching 70 degrees on average which will cause the processor a shorter life span, so I had to add an extra exhaust fan which helped but not by much. I haven't contacted technical support, however, I'm not sure they can help with the cooling on the system. I'm also not entirely sure who to call as the system came with virtually no documentation. Good starter system, but not sure I'd recommend it for hardcore/seasoned gamers who would run the system for long hours. ... show more

  • Would not buy from this seller again
A very expensive machine bought at the height of the GPU shortage. Within a week of purchase it threw a BSOD but we didn't think much of it ("It's Windows, after all"). Then, after the 30-day window for return had passed, it started giving BSODs, or simply freezing, 5-6 times a day. Neither the seller nor Amazon would accept a return. Tech support at iBuypower was actually responsive and helpful. Unfortunately their first RMA did not solve the problem. The second RMA did not solve the problem. They then rebuilt the computer with several new components; the BSODs and freezing stopped. Unfortunately the MSI RTX 3090 GPU started rattling terribly, so did a replacement MSI GPU. iBuypower replaced it with an ASUS unit which also rattled, although not quite as bad. iBuypower support suggested contacting ASUS directly, which we did, and they immediately issued an RMA for their GPU. After receiving the defective unit they sent a replacement board. The new GPU seems to be working as intended, so after 10 months we finally have the machine we paid for. ... show more
