I have a bunch of these little robot brick sets, and I think I like this one the best, because you can make a scorpion robot. That happens to be my zodiac, so I dig it. On top of that, the bricks on this one fit better than most other sets I've tried, and for once, the tracks actually operate smoothly, even on carpet. That's a first. Not sure how they pulled that one off, but I'm glad they did. The battery life isn't the greatest, but I'm guessing that's partly the result of me driving it on carpet, which does strain the motor a bit, so I'm not going to ding them for that. I haven't tried the app control yet, but I don't expect much from that anyway. Regardless, this is a really fun and cool set, and you definitely won't regret picking one up.

This robot is great - I haven't used the app yet as the included remote is plenty of fun for my 3 y/o. The quality of the bricks is great and the instructions are clear and include the different models all in the same manual. I'd say this is more of an advanced build though, so adult assistance will be required as there are a few tricky parts of the assembly. The treads/wheels work really well on our hard floors and carpet and the head has a nice tilting motion as the robot moves around. The controller works well - it has buttons that seem to flip the orientation of the forward/back and left/right controls. Overall, great toy!

I love that this robot is a 4-in-1. That alone make this well worth its value. A name brand version of this toy would be significantly higher, if you could even find it. The pieces are all well made and fit together nicely. My 8 year old has loved putting this together the past few days -- he is insistent on building all 4 to discover which one has the best traction. So far, he has built 2 and did a DIY of his own design. There are plenty of pieces for your child to create their own vehicle. The remote is responsive and we've had no connectivity issues. If you are looking for an engineering style kit for your LO, this is a great option that is engaging and has a high success rate for a determined kid.

This building set with remote control is perfect for my grandson. He loves the building set and the remote control feature will be a fun addition. He is 8 years old and he and his Dad will undoubtedly enjoy assembling and playing with this toy. I love that it can be assembled four different ways so he can pick which he wants and try another when he tires of that one. I'm sure this will be enjoyed for many days to come.

My niece wants to build rovers to go into space! She is on the robotics team in school and loves to build things. She tore this open and started building right away. My brother told her she had to eat and finish her homework. I'm happy I could send her something that will foster her love of science and technology. She texted me and was so excited about "building a rover" She is 13.

This is a fun set, the instructions are not as clear as Lego, but it's fun to build. It came in a nice box, perfect for gift giving. The box has different bags inside for each style of robot to build. Our kids are 11 and 12 and even though it says it can be for younger kids, this is still interesting and challenging enough for this our age group. They are having fun with the different building options and enjoy working on it. We don't like adding apps to or phone so we will be using the remote and I'm very glad they gave us this option
