So I haven't had a tower PC in over 10 years, and such as did not know what to expect. I have been wanting to get back into gaming so I decided it was time to pull the trigger on a desktop. After some research, the CyberPowerPC Xtreme VR Gaming PC seemed liked the best value for what you get. I waited a little while with it on my shopping list because I was slightly worried about some of the early reviews, but after a while it looked like they had taken steps to rectify some of their earlier issues as the reviews began to really become more positive. I purchased the i9-14900KF with the RTX 4070 Super. At first I didn't THINK I noticed that much of a difference, but that was because I hadn't tried any new games yet. I was still just playing WoW, which I could play off my old computer. I decided to download some games my old computer couldn't even look at without crapping the bed. I bought Skyrim and Fallout 4, now I realize these are old games and not the most modern and graphic intensive, but they are fairly decent standards and still hold up today as games that make computers work hard. Downloading the games takes as long as your network speed allows you, and installation takes a matter of minutes (fantastic). In games I'm used to load times between moving from zone to zone or indoors to outdoors, usually you get to stare at a monster or an item for 10-20 secs (or longer) and the load screen will give you some random factoid about said item. But good grief, when I say there is maaaaybe ~1 second between zone swaps, I mean it. Almost imperceptible in some instances. This thing is fast. I use the onboard Nvidia control panel at the moment to control the graphic settings. It pretty much runs itself but it can allow you to tweak things if you feel like it. When setup properly it will automatically adjust your game to "recommended" settings. What that means for me so far, is that it cranks all my game settings up to Ultra, and I have experienced no lag or clipping or graphics issues of any kind so far. The chassis itself is very clean looking, albeit a little wider than I was expecting, but not by much and not inconveniently so. Cable management is quite good, 75% of the tower is empty space so airflow for the 7 fans works well. In my opinion it's incredibly quiet, even when the fans "ramp" up to the highest level it is more than bearable. The RGB lights in the tower are controllable from the onboard program preinstalled with Windows found on the desktop under the recycle bin. Took me about an hour from power on to get Windows installed and updated. The keyboard and mouse (both wired) that came with the computer are a nice bonus. Since I haven't had a quality PC in a while and don't have much to compare it to, I'll say this much, for all the components that are included (more than worth the money if you price out the parts), and the couple of days I've had to play around with it, I am very happy with my decision so far. The 2TB hard drive was a good move, I can tell with the size of games nowadays that's going to be clutch after a few more games. As of Feb/March 2025 these PC's are still coming out of the factory very well made. Edit: Added a few screenshots of Assassins Creed: Shadows (which was a free pre-order gift included at my time of purchase!) These are cut scenes, but the game looks great and runs super smooth at high settings. After some adjusting I'm averaging about 90 FPS. ... show more

Worth it?

Took forever to ship, but definitely worth the wait! Placed order on March 2nd. Didn't ship until 28th. Received March 31st. I live in L.A. I'm super impatient so it was an anxious month, but this PC is exactly what I wanted and more. This is my first PC. Always wanted one but consoles were always more cheaper, convenient, and accessible. I've had each Xbox up to the One and each PS up to 4. At this point a PC was the only rational choice. This VR ready PC can play anything. Extremely easy and fast to unpack and set up. Was up and running Steam within 30min of coming out of the box. Moment of truth was making sure I can play VR with no issues. I don't have the best wifi. I share a house with family and the router is in the living room. So i was worried i was going to struggle and that I'd have to buy a link cable and extended router or somehting to even play. Yet, I was able to use Steam VR to connect my Meta Quest 3s wirelessly and actually play Valve's the Lab. No hiccups or drop outs or nothing. It was amazing! Now I've been playing Black Mesa on high settings and it is beautiful! Cant wait to play HaLF-LIFE: Alyx. This CyberPowerPC is worth the cost! Hope this baby lasts for years. ... show more

READ BEFORE PURCHASE MOTHERBOARD ISSUE

I’ve had this pc for about 2 years from when I bought it and I must say it’s great besides one thing. If you receive this pc in the mail and it has a ASROCK Motherboard return it immediately. Mine managed to fail and corrupt the boot process making the entire pc basically inoperable. I had to have Best Buy do multiple diagnostics and attempt multiple OS installs to no avail. I sincerely hope that CyberpowerPc removes this option entirely as that brand of motherboard is one of the worst ones you can possibly buy. If your looking for something that will stand the test of time, I would highly recommend looking for a prebuilt with atleast a Asus,MSI,or Gigabyte motherboard. Besides that if you have the technical prowess, this is a great pc for the price but I would absolutely swap out parts asap. ... show more

14 Hours of attempted Repair - $700 in the Hole - Still no Working computer

Nothing but issues after 1.5 years. So it started with the computer just randomly restarting. It would go back to the windows key screen. Then games started crashing - mid game. Let me tell you what I had to go through to trouble shoot this mess. I tried to re-install windows from scratch - failure. Black screen and reboot. Replaced the power supply. failure. Black screen and reboot. I replaced the 2TB SSD - $500. failure. Black screen and reboot. I check both ram sticks individually failure. Black screen and reboot. I wiped the old SSD - tried to clean it from command prompt. failure. Black screen and reboot. failure. Black screen and reboot. The most frustrating situation I've ever been in and been doing computers for 20+ years. I will give their support a chance to make this right - but right now, I want to pull my hair out - 14 hours invested in fixing this thing myself with nothing to show for it but $700 more in the hole. Powerful PC

The PC right out the box was easy to setup. Well packaged by the shipping company. Fast boot up. Runs everything I throw at it in 4k without breaking a sweat. Certain graphic intensive games will cause the fans to spool up. The fans on full sound like a commercial jet landing. Generally, the PC is quiet but when the fans spin up, it's on! Not loud enough for me to give it a ding. I will ding the PC for using a motherboard that doesn't support 2.5 gig lan. It's stuck on 1 gig so if you subscribe to fiber over 2 gigs, you would need to add a 2.5 card to access the additional speed. New motherboards have upgraded to the faster port speed by default. Again, not a deal breaker but something to be aware of. Minimal documentation included. You may want to create a back up flash drive with the operating system incase you need to reformat the hard drive. The PC itself is not too heavy but to fully appreciate the RGB fans, you may want to place it such that it's easy to see the insides of the case. ... show more

Good value for the money

I wanted to build a pc but with the availability of gpu and prices of gpu I decided to go with a prebuilt. After days of searching different configurations I decided on this system as it seemed to provide the most bang for my buck sub $2k. PC is fine. Was concerned with thermals because of the known 14th gen intel cpu issues. After having for two weeks I can say that thermals are fine. Here are the components that came in the build that Amazon and CyberPowerPC did not disclose in the listing Motherboard - Asrock z790c GPU - Gigabyte Eagle 4070 Super Tforce RAM Generic non modular 1000w power supply CyberPowerPC 360 AIO cpu cooler Western Digital “Green” NVME 2tb I am not sure if the exact same components are used for every build but this is what came in the system as it arrived. Motherboard was updated to latest bios with updated intel microcode I ran multiple scenarios with the system which maintained good thermals and no throttling. The system didn’t come with bloatware but did come with Nvidia software installed to ensure drivers are up to date and rgb software to control the lighting. System runs quiet and frame rates are solid. No issues with any games that I tried to run - fortnite, elden ring, resident evil 7. Everything seems to run fine with no issues to date. Included peripherals were wired rgb keyboard and mouse. They are fine. Not top quality but not junk either. Case panels are easy to remove to grant access to internals. Wiring was great. Absolutely would recommend this computer and this company. Their customer service 5 star... I bought this unit in 2024 and had a fatal error and they completely walked me through how to fix my issues without asking when I bought it, where I bought it or the time frame in which a "warranty" time would be. Fast & Beautiful + Better than advertised!

I use my computer for a wide variety of demanding tasks, from VR game development to video editing. So that means I need both a powerful GPU and a fast CPU. This CyberPower Xtreme VR Gamer fits the bill perfectly, and at a very reasonable price point. This is a super fast and gorgeous looking machine. I want to point out some errors in the product listing. It says it only supports WiFi 5, so I bought a WiFi 6e PCIe card at the same time. Imagine my surprise to discover THIS SYSTEM ALREADY HAS WiFi 6e support built into the motherboard! Likewise, it does not have Bluetooth 4.2 as advertised -- it actually has Bluetooth 5.3.
