I wanted something to make my own hot chocolate or to melt butter. I love the quality of this. I love that it came with a cover as well. We already had a bigger pot, but I love this one for doing smaller things. Just what I wanted. I have a set of Cuisinart SS pots that don't work on my induction. This ROYDX is amazing on induction cooking and heats SO evenly. My gosh, why didn't I know about this brand before LOL. BTW, it's a beautiful looking pot. Just the correct heaviness so you know it's well made, but not heavy like cast iron.
