I travel frequently so I bought these to be able to have privacy when working on my phone or laptop. Works well with Samsung Galaxy S25+ and Samsung DEX. Probably won't be wearing the joker mask around too much, but a Batman fan and there are a couple additional cool features I got it for - the logo on the case and the glasses themselves. Picture quality and audio very good, will definitely be using these to watch movies while traveling. The image of what you're looking at can be seen from the other side of the glasses, so the included black out cover is what makes the privacy work perfect. Looked at a few different models, but chose these for the price, and very happy with the quality and that I didn't need to spend more.

I wanted to give a little backstory because it may help others who are considering the GT Max primarily for watching movies. I’m a big fan of the theater experience, but I also love classic movies, and theaters don’t play them very often unless they have special throwback days, which can get expensive. I first used my son’s Oculus to watch movies and thought it was a great experience. However, the headset is heavy, and the screen quality isn’t wonderful. Movies like *Blade Runner*, with a lot of dark scenes, aren’t particularly good to watch on it. When RayNeo released the Air 4 Pro, I decided to purchase a pair. The screen quality, especially with HDR10, was outstanding. In a dark room, it gave me much more of that theater feeling I was looking for. The downside was the lack of 3DoF, so every time you moved your head, the screen moved with you. It wasn’t a dealbreaker, but it was definitely a negative. I also tried the Viture Pro 2, which was very similar to the Air 4 Pro but had built-in diopters. Then RayNeo announced the GT Max. I sold my Air 4 Pros on eBay to recoup some of the cost and took a gamble by putting in a few extra bucks for the upgrade. After spending some time with the GT Max, I’m beyond pleased. For the price, you get three screen sizes, excellent image quality like the Air 4 Pro, plus pinned mode, follow mode, and steady mode. Those viewing options make a huge difference when watching movies. My primary purpose for these glasses is to watch movies and feel like I’m sitting in a theater while still getting high-resolution image quality, and the GT Max delivers. The sound is awesome as well. Whisper Mode is especially useful. If my wife is watching her shows while I’m watching something else, I can enjoy my movie without sound blasting from the speakers and bothering anyone else. For watching movies, I give the RayNeo GT Max a solid 5 out of 5. I can’t really speak to other uses, such as spreadsheets or productivity. A few things I’d recommend: If you have a prescription and need the inserts, go to your eye doctor and get accurate measurements. Most importantly, get an accurate pupil distance measurement so you know whether to order the small, medium, or large model. I was a little shy of medium, so I fell into the small category, and they fit perfectly. The edges of the screen can soften a little, so I’m currently using the 85% screen size. You can choose 115%, 100%, or 85%. I tried 115%, and it’s awesome, but the best screen size really comes down to personal preference. I also think these would be great for travel. I have two additional recommendations that don’t come with the glasses. First, on Amazon, search for “240W USB-C Straight Magnetic Extender 2-Pack 4Tips USB4 40G Mac/PC.” It’s a low-profile magnetic USB-C adapter that can stay plugged into the glasses. Instead of constantly inserting and removing the cable, the cable connects to the adapter magnetically. My biggest concern is eventually wearing out or loosening the USB-C port from repeatedly plugging and unplugging the cable, so this gives me some extra peace of mind. Second, the glasses don’t come with a light blocker, although you can order one from RayNeo. The light blocker helps, but you can still get some light bleed around the edges. I searched Amazon for a “Neck Pillow with Blackout Hood,” and that completely eliminated the issue for me. If you really want the outside environment to disappear and feel like you’re sitting in a theater watching a movie, it makes a big difference. Finally, these are video glasses, so I think being careful with them is important. I recommend getting the extended warranty. It’s difficult to know how the buttons and other components will hold up long-term, so the extra coverage gives me some peace of mind. Overall, I’m 100% satisfied with my purchase and the upgrade. The RayNeo Air 4 Pro and Viture Pro 2 were both good glasses, but for my main use—watching movies and recreating a theater-like experience—the GT Max is easily the best pair I’ve tried.

The screen is nice and bright and the Audio done by Bang and Olufsen is easily the best part of this product. I can only reccomend these to those who have good eyesight because if you dont its basically unusable. The edge of the displays is blurry, the text is blurry and the moment you adjust them it makes everything out of focus. The plastic build while light is also super cheap feeling. The Case because its a soft one is hard to close. The Adjustment mechanism feels like you are breaking them everytime you adjust it. The front cover does darken the background but im not sure why there even is a tinted suglasses section in the forst place. Seems redundent and causes annoying reflections of your clothes or floor. Yes they work as advertised but are not perfect and have weird decisons and not enough adjustment. B&O audio is easily the best pat and screens themselves are great and connected to everything I tried.

I previously had the Rayneo Air 4 Pros and really enjoyed them for watching movies. They supported HDR10 and looked great. So I was really looking forward to the GT Max. But these glasses have been a massive disappointment. The big issue is that these glasses don’t support HDR10. Instead they have a feature called “AI HDR” which looks and performs terribly. It makes the colors look smudged and the frame rate is choppy as the AI is trying to create the artificial HDR in real time. The glasses do support Dolby Vision. But you can only use Dolby Vision by purchasing their $200 Pocket TV Pro separately. You are also limited to a fewer selection of apps as well as carrying around another device you would have to charge. At that price point you would be better off purchasing other AR glasses. RayNeo has been marketing these glasses as a private movie theater but sadly that is not the case. If you’re thinking about buying these to watch movies you would be far better off buying the Air 4 Pros and saving $200. These glasses could have been great if RayNeo allowed us to use our phones with Dolby Vision. But unfortunately their greed got in the way.

I have tested may of these types of glasses, from the most simple that only provide the image and sound, to the ones that let you anchor the image, 3D functions and all that. From all my testing, I have to say that the RayNeo GT Max is the best bang for buck XR glasses in the market right now. The amount of features it includes rival products that cost hundreds of dollars more. It has all of the 3DOF functions you can want, the higest DOF in the market right now, 3 sizes so you can shoose based on your IPD, amazing sound, incredible display quality, and suprisignly comfortable. If you want a pair of XR glasses that have all the bells and whistles, but not having to pay an exorbitant price for those features, these are the glasses you want!

I really LOVE that theres only about 5% corner blurriness. Ive been using this device and I thought the AI HDR is whats wrong with it but after comparing it to my air 3s pro I found out that the screen itself is the problem. I maxed out the brightness already but its still not bright. The screen quality looks so dull and so unalive. Like the air 4 pro AI Hdr makes the video quality is so wonky. Same reason why I stuck from my air 3spro instead of upgrading to air 4 pro, the edges is much sharper but upgrading just for the ai hdr alone is not ideal. Id definitely buy a GT MAX 2 or once the contrast is fixed in GT MAX. I really like the wide screen but I dont want to pay a lot and I cant enjoy it because of the dull color quality.
