Way better than I expected for movie night.
I didn’t expect to like these as much as I do. I mostly wanted something I could put on at night and watch a movie without the TV light keeping everyone else up, and the RayNeo GT Max ended up being way better than that. The screen feels huge. RayNeo rates it as a 267-inch picture with a 59° field of view, and you can tell — it’s not just a phone held a little farther away. Movies look bright and colorful (they claim up to 1200 nits and a 120Hz refresh rate, and sports and games do stay smooth), and the picture stays sharp enough that I’m not squinting at subtitles. I hooked them up to my phone and my Switch and both just worked with one cable. No app dance, no extra box on the table. They also work with a PS5, Steam Deck, and a computer if that’s what you’ve got. What surprised me most is that the picture stays put when I move my head. These have built-in 3DoF tracking, so there’s a mode where the screen locks in place instead of swinging around with you. Once I got used to that, I didn’t want to go back. The sound is better than I thought glasses could do. It’s tuned with Bang & Olufsen, and you can hear it fine without earbuds. There’s a quieter “whisper” mode so it doesn’t blast the whole room. I still use headphones if I’m somewhere really quiet, but on the couch it’s totally fine. They come in different sizes based on how far apart your eyes are. I got the medium (64–67 mm) and they lined up right away, which matters more than I realized. Fuzzy edges would have ruined it.

Glad I made the jump!
Am quite happy and satisfied with my new GT Max...The four basic qualities that I was expecting and hoped to experience for a medium budget, high-tech, have pretty much, exceeded all my expectations! And that's without the firmware update or future improvements down the road. A. Comfortable and relaxing to watch movies, play games, surf B. 3DoF is pretty much perfect: smooth and precise C. Using the 115 screen/115 offers plenty of 'immersion' D. Reading or browsing the internet Discord and Reddit forums is very legible. Voila! I'm a first time ar/vr glass newbie and glad I made the jump. good luck to all and a big thank you to Rayneo for a great product!

Budget performance with uncomfortable fit
Okay so the GT Max is genuinely great at the stuff that matters most to me. 59° FOV is huge for a pair of glasses with zero outward-facing cameras — and that's a hard requirement for me, so no shade for what it doesn't do there. Hook it up to a Steam Deck or PC and you get a bright, punchy 1080p OLED screen with deep blacks and smooth 120Hz motion. The three tracking modes (Follow, Pinned, Steady) actually make sense to use, and I could jump straight into the spatial multi-screen stuff on Windows day one thanks to Mirror Studio — some competitors still can't say that. My one real gripe is the tracking drift. Using it for Elite Dangerous head-look or trying to pin windows for work, the display would slowly creep out of place over longer sessions, so I was constantly hitting re-center. Best guess: the Zone 360 chip is running gyro/accelerometer only with no magnetometer to keep yaw in check, which feels like a cost-cutting call. Also worth knowing — at this wide an FOV the pixel density (38 PPD) is a bit soft, so text and fine details aren't razor sharp. Totally fine for gaming and video, less fun for reading code or spreadsheets all day. Bottom line: if you want a big, immersive screen and camera-free is a must-have for you, the GT Max is honestly one of the best options out there. The drift is a real annoyance though, and it's the only thing standing between this and a 5-star rating. Fix that with a firmware update or a magnetometer in the next version, and RayNeo's got a genuine winner on their hands.

Hopefully a patch is coming ASAP
Too early to really tell all— the glasses themselves are great for the most part, with some slight hiccups here and there, but most importantly the joydock isn’t working with them! The display glitches around and flickers terribly, as shown in the video.

Works right out of the box
Traded up from the Air 4 Pro which I like but this is definitely an improvement. When used with the Pocket TV Pro the Dolby Vision is really good. I also have less edge distortion with it. Not sure about the complaints about the image being dark as you can adjust it and I find the brightness just right.

Don’t buy this
Don’t spend your money it’s not worth the effort I just got these and they don’t work any more the audio won’t play on the glasses themselves it always stays on the phone speakers

Price to value is not there yet. multiple limitations in the current tech.
Overall, I have to give these glasses 2 stars. They are close, but at the same time, need a lot of improvements before they are ready for the price tag they cary. First off the display. It's "ok" that is it. It's way too dim, even at the brightest setting. The darker areas of the scene are very hard to see. This is partly due to the lens transparency and not having the auto darkening that some other XR glasses have. But it's also partly just due to the screens themselves. The sharpness of the screens are good in the center of the view. But on the 4 corners, no, it's terrible. Definitely not something that you can use for productivity because of this. Also, getting the nose bridge right so that you can actually see the entire screen is very finicky and a huge chore. It would be much nicer if the nose bridges where redesigned to get the lenses much closer to your eye so that there is a little room between the top and bottom of the projection. Additionally, for me the nose bridge started to hurt after just a couple of minutes of wear. I tried all 3 included nose bridges and could not find a configuration that did not hurt after a few. The audio is ok. It is actually surprising that it's somewhat private. Someone has to be really close to you to hear. However, the audio lacks real depth and just gives you a very basic sound stage. The max volume is also very low. You are really going to need ear buds if you use these. I don't think over the ear headphones will work because of how thick the glass arms are. The 3DoF tracking is pretty good out of the box. In "smooth" mode where it would kind of stick before following, you could see some jitteriness even when holding still. In pinned mode though it did a pretty good job. And pinned mode is pretty much the only way you'd get any productivity work done on these so that you can actually move your head to refocus on the out of focus corners of the screen. All of that said though, even if all of that was perfect, I got a significant amount of eye strain while using these for just around an hour. I'm not sure if that is due to their lense design or what. But first time I experienced that in any XR glasses or VR headsets that I have tried. Overall the value for the money is not there yet. They still have quite a bit of work to do to make these worth the price of a good monitor to be able to use them as one. I'm sure someone will enjoy using these for fake big screen gaming on a handheld, or watching movies, but they are not quite there yet for me. One last thing, aesthetics, you are going to look ridiculous wearing these no matter how they try to make them look like actual glasses. To the point that I don't know why they bother trying. Just go ahead and shield the front and make them look like a vr headset, as that is all they are really right now. The lenses are too dark for them to be useful for any true AR applications.

Amazing home theater experience on your face
These glasses bring the imax experience into your home. I had the air 4 pro glasses before this and these are even better. The picture is even larger and there is 3DoF so no more nausea. It’s like you’re in the movie theater. They’re plug and play, so they are really easy to use. The sound is also impressive. These are best for gaming or movies while on the train, car, or plane. I highly recommend these AR glasses.
