  • TLDR: Best AR Glasses of 2026. Key Takeaways: Best Screen, Best Audio, and Best Price
Size: Standard
So I own a lot of AR glasses (over 20+ pairs across enterprise and consumer markets). I am an AR glasses enthusiasts. Let me tell you about these glasses. These are the RayNeo Air 4 Pro AR Glasses. They are a portable monitor that works by plugging into a device with USBC Display Out, such as phones, tablets, gaming devices, and laptops. People mostly use them for watching movies and/or playing games, and some people use custom software to have a multi-monitor setup in their glasses for productivity. These connect with most devices, and any devices that have issue RayNeo also has some inexpensive converters for PS5 and XBOX and Switch and lightning cables. These are consumer AR glasses and they are typically known as portable monitor glasses, screen-mirroring glasses, display glasses etc. They don't have any cameras in them and they really are just a monitor for the most part. Substitute products come from XREAL, Rokid, Viture, Meizu, TQSKY, and others. I have products from these other companies. Here is why RayNeo Air 4 Pro is the best portable monitor glasses and are better for most people in my opinion - it can be broken down into 3 main reasons: 1. Display - these glasses have the best screen quality in the industry. That's a fact because they are the first glasses with an HDR10 screen setting (and more screen adjustment settings in the offline built in menu in the glasses firmware). My personal opinon after using these compared with XREAL One Pro and Viture Beast and Rokid Max 2 is that these do a better job of showing me movies with higher quality. 2. Audio - The Bang & Olufsen audio actually is impressive and rich, I thought it was some marketing bs but it actually is really good. I did some audio tests and these work good as over the eye headphones. They're not bone conducting like other brands so that's really nice too. Also, RayNeo has started selling sound tubes for noisy environments and they did this based on user feedback, and the sound tubes work well. You don't need bluetooth earbuds for these glasses unlike other glasses when you're in a loud environment. 3. Price - these glasses are the most affordable new monitor glasses on the market. They are the most bang for your buck. They are more than satisfying for this price relative to the other products in the market. Other products in the industry are literally double the price, older than these glasses, have weaker screen quality, less premium audio, and they look more conspicuous because they have cameras on them and don't look like normal glasses. These are the main three reasons for me, but they're also really comfortable and the arms of the glasses can be moved up and down to better fit your face. They make a loud mechanical clicking sound when moved but that's just so they have to be readjusted each time you put them. They don't heat up on your face and the only thing I noticed were small red marks on my nose, but all glasses have that right now and these marks were painless and went away within 5 minutes. These glasses are super easy to use because you just plug them, make sure you're seeing the screen with all 4 corners by adjust the arms easily, and boom you're watching HDR10 movies. It's also cool that they include a lens cover with the glasses, not that I've needed it though. I haven't worn these in public but when compared with the competitors, that sometimes have sus cameras in them too, these look the most like normal glasses. 9 times out of 10 I mostly use these for watching movies in bed because I have neck pain. I can get through a whole movie without any eye fatigue and I don't need the sound tubes in bed. If you're curious about AR glasses and want a low risk high reward pair, these will serve you well for years to come. I tried VertoXR with them for productivity and liked that I could have 3 additionall monitors with my laptop in my glasses, but again I mostly use these for movies so that's what I'm focusing on. I recommend these glasses. If you're on the fence about them, I recommend buying them and trying them to watch a really high quality movie that you've seen before on HDR10 mode or their AI SDR-to-HDR mode and see how high quality it is in the glasses. Amazon has good return policies so that can work for you if you need it, but you'd likely only return these if this type of glasses aren't for you. If you've owned a pair of monitor glasses like this before, then I want you to know that this is the best screen quality in the industry and the price is also the best in the industry. Hardware quality and price is RayNeo's strength, and if you need better software or things to improve your experience, you can find it on Reddit or Discord because the RayNeo AR glasses community fills in the gaps that RayNeo doesn't focus on. If you're like me and mostly using these for movies and gaming, then these are the best glasses and the best price in the industry for 2026 (at least). ... show more

  • Only Display Glasses with HDR! Only Display Glasses with HDR!
Size: Justice
TL;DR I was hesitant to upgrade from the Air 3s Pro I bought last August. When I saw there was a Batman Limited Edition, and a very attractive launch price, I decided to pull the trigger. After selling the Air 3s Pro, the marginal cost to upgrade was minimal. And boy am I glad I decided to upgrade. The HDR modes (both HDR10 and AI-HDR) exceeded my expectations, and the Bang & Olufsen tuning is also fantastic…especially with the included sound tubes. I rate these a ‘must buy’ or at a minimum, a ‘must try’. Seriously just buy these glasses and give them a try. You won’t find another pair for anywhere near this price and with such fantastic picture quality. Background with XR glasses I have tested all the newest glasses from RayNeo’s competitors but I always went back the Air 3s Pro I bought last August. The RayNeo Air series lack some of the fancy options like 3dof anchoring mode, electro-chromatic dimming, and the various screen size, distance, and orientation options…but what it does offer is superior display quality and that is why I keep going back to them. Most of the remaining review will focus on comparing the Air 4 Pro to their Air 3s Pro predecessor. Glasses The glasses look exactly the same as the Air 3s Pro except with the branding ‘Audio by BANG & OLUFSEN’ on the right temple. Since I got the Batman Justice Limited Edition, there’s also a Batman logo on the right temple as well. The comfort is the same as Air 3s Pro. These are the lightest glasses on the market and they feel great sitting on my face for hours. Display Modes There are three ‘picture modes’ and three ‘dynamic quality’ options to choose from. The picture modes are Standard, Movie, and Eye Comfort. There isn’t a big difference here. Movie mode is a little darker, and Eye Comfort has a slight yellowish tint. The Dynamic Quality Options is where things get very interesting. There is SDR, AI-HDR, and HDR10. SDR looks very similar to the Air 3s Pro. The AI-HDR does a great job converting non-HDR content to HDR. Switching between SDR and AI-HDR makes it very clear that the AI lightens certain areas while darkening others to give better separation. For HDR enabled content, HDR10 is simply brilliant. These are the new standard for watching movies. Audio Whisper mode was my default audio mode on the Air 3s Pro. The only issue is it was too quiet when there was background noise. This has been solved by including sound tubes in the limited-edition versions. One of the reasons I splurged the extra $20 for the limited edition was because sound tubes were included. I would say the sound tubes are a ‘must have’. I can have the glasses in Whisper mode with the sound almost all the way down and still hear the audio just fine. No one is hearing what I am listening to even if they are standing right next to me. The Bang & Olufsen audio is a solid upgrade to the sound quality as well. Conclusion These glasses should be an instant buy for everyone that wants to have their own personal HDR movie theater. If you have never owned AR glasses, give these a try. If you own the Air 3s or 3s Pro, sell them, and upgrade to the Air 4 Pro. If you own another brand that you need for 3dof, I recommend grabbing these as a second pair for watching HDR movies. ... show more

  • Worth it, immersive
Size: Standard
The glasses are great at watching movies and playing video games. The speakers on the glasses without the sound tubes are good. They are on-par with the first gen ray ban metas. The quality of the display is amazing. The colors are great and bright. I played with the ps5 on 120 fps mode and it was really responsive. My only reason for four stars is the actually resolution of the display. It’s 1080p so it’s the sharpest image. For gaming on ps5, it’s okay since ps5 120 fps is stuck at 1080 or 1440 p. The image is still good while watching movies but at that point it’s about the immersion the glasses create. The immersion is great. One thing you will need to play on consoles or on devices with hdmi out with no power is an hdmi adapter that connects to power. The glasses are great at its price and my only small gripe is that I wish it was at least 1440p but the immersion makes up for it. ... show more

The RayNeo Air 4 Pro glasses are a nice upgrade over previous models and easily stand out in the crowded XR display glasses market. I was immediately able to notice the improvements. The first thing that stands out is the picture quality. The display is exceptionally clear from edge to edge, with none of the blurry edges that I experienced in earlier models. Text is sharp, images are crisp, and the viewing experience feels more refined overall. The entire picture was easy to get in view with minimal adjustment, something I could not get to work with the 3s. Colors are another highlight. They're vibrant and punchy without looking oversaturated, making games, movies, and streaming content look fantastic. In terms of raw visual quality, the Air 4 Pro competes well against other major XR glasses brands on the market, including Xreal, Viture, and Rokid, which I own models of each. They do not offer screen docking like other brands, so keep this in mind if it's important to your needs. Despite offering picture quality that rivals its competitors, the RayNeo Air 4 Pro costs roughly half as much as many competing models. That makes it one of the best value options currently available for anyone interested in wearable displays. The user interface is also well designed. The menu system is simple, intuitive, and easy to navigate, which makes setup and adjustments quick and painless. The 3D mode toggle is a simple button command, similar to past iterations. Even users new to XR glasses should feel comfortable using them almost immediately. Comfort is another strong point. The glasses are very lightweight, making them easy to wear for extended sessions. Whether you’re gaming, watching movies, or using them as a portable display for a laptop or handheld console, they remain comfortable for extended use. You will feel a little warmth on your forehead due to the new chip inside, but nothing that will bother the experience. For media enthusiasts, the 3D capability is impressive. Full SBS (side-by-side) 3D movies look fantastic, delivering a convincing sense of depth and immersion. I have not tried Half SBS so I cannot speak to the performance there. The audio performance I'd say is fairly great, thought I'm no audiophile. I almost exclusively use earbuds while using these. Overall, the RayNeo Air 4 Pro glasses are an excellent starting point for anyone looking for a high-quality wearable display. With sharp edge-to-edge clarity, vibrant colors, a lightweight design, and a price that undercuts most competitors, they deliver outstanding value. Definitely check these out if you're looking for the best price to performance, no frills XR glasses experience. ... show more

  • Excellent value, fits my needs perfectly. Excellent value, fits my needs perfectly.
I travel frequently so I bought these to be able to have privacy when working on my phone or laptop. Works well with Samsung Galaxy S25+ and Samsung DEX. Probably won't be wearing the joker mask around too much, but a Batman fan and there are a couple additional cool features I got it for - the logo on the case and the glasses themselves. Picture quality and audio very good, will definitely be using these to watch movies while traveling. The image of what you're looking at can be seen from the other side of the glasses, so the included black out cover is what makes the privacy work perfect. Looked at a few different models, but chose these for the price, and very happy with the quality and that I didn't need to spend more. ... show more

  • Ill be honest, i really want to love these glasses…
Size: Standard
I really did, however, there are so many glaring issues that i just had to avoid keeping them, Main issues to me: These glasses are hardly compatible with ANYTHING. Adapter this, adapter that, i ended up with 3 different adapters and none of them worked for anything because they were all not the correct “source”, this is one of the main issues with the glasses, the way the device registers as a screen is apparently completely useless for most devices, lots of huge opportunities were missed, no compatibility with DSLR using the glasses as a viewfinder, which seemed quite the nice premise. CABLE LENGTH: The provided cable is good for connecting to any type c phone and thats about it, forget using it with a pc, its only a few feet long, a laptop in your lap maybe could reach it, (IF it has thunderbolt…) but at that point you just feel stupid, a longer cable stock or as an option bundled with the adapter would be great. Portability: Youd think this device would be portable, but you cant walk around wearing it, its bulky and dim, and putting it in your pocket isnt great because you dont wanna scratch up your nice glasses, having it in its case in your pocket is quite the uncomfortable experience, youre basically required to carry a bag around if you wanna use these. The unusual side effect: Maybe im not socially aware of my surroundings, but i caught myself accidentally staring at people more than once while using these glasses out in public, and staring at a wall isnt ideal either, but this isnt necessarily the fault of the device, its just a weird side effect of using these that you might not initially realise. Glasses wearers: for those of us who just received our lovely new device, and are excited to use it, enjoy either a relatively uncomfortable, crooked, and cropped experience, or view the “ultra high res screen” in a nice blur, this isnt really the devices fault, but i wish there were XR devices that could fit over glasses instead of trying to be their own whole pair of glasses, yes, i know theres a insert you can buy, but the things you need to buy to make this a workable device adds up fast, its not, $250, its more like, $400+, for inserts, cables, adapters, it gets quite expensive. The reality is, the screen is amazing, it looks amazing, but im not here to say what everyone says, im just giving my thoughts and the reason i returned them. All in all, if you can find the use for it, its a good device, if youre a casual tech enjoyer wanting to try something “new”, id say stray away for now. ... show more

  • Underwhelming Overall Underwhelming Overall
Size: Standard
I wanted to like these glasses a lot more than I do. After watching several influencer videos on YouTube, I was genuinely excited and expected a polished, high-quality product. Unfortunately, my experience has been pretty underwhelming. To be fair, I did spend a lot (A LOT!) of time trying to get the different features working before writing this review. The main reason I’m not returning them is because they do work well with my DJI RC 3 controller. I fly drones and bought these partly so friends can watch the live camera feed while I’m flying. For that purpose they actually work well and should create a fun spectator experience. However, outside of that specific use case, the product hasn’t lived up to expectations. The marketing emphasizes a “201-inch screen experience.” In reality, it doesn’t really feel like that. The image is fine, but it’s nowhere near the cinematic experience I imagined. Honestly, watching my regular 46" TV from about eight feet away feels just as good (if not better), and I don’t have to wear anything on my face. Another feature I was excited about was 3D playback. I spent a lot of time trying to get this working and eventually gave up. I tried different videos and apps and could never get it to work reliably. Maybe there’s a specific method I missed, but if there is, that points to another issue: the documentation is extremely minimal. For something with supposedly multiple modes, apps, and features, the instructions are surprisingly sparse. Most of the time you’re left experimenting and trying to figure things out on your own. A better setup guide or troubleshooting documentation would go a long way. I also purchased the Sound Tube accessory. They do work as advertised, but they are surprisingly difficult to attach to the glasses, and once again there are essentially no instructions included. I eventually figured it out, but it shouldn’t require trial and error to install an accessory like this. Another issue for me is the fit and viewing alignment. Using the glasses out of the box, I cannot see the top edge of the screen. If I adjust the arms one notch to compensate, then I can no longer see the bottom edge of the screen. So either way, part of the display ends up cut off for me, which makes the viewing experience even less immersive. Pros Works well with DJI RC 3 for drone viewing Lightweight and comfortable Cons Viewing experience is not as immersive as advertised 3D functionality difficult to set up Very limited documentation Setup requires a lot of trial and error Sound Tube accessory difficult to install with no instructions Fit/arm adjustment can cause part of the screen to be cut off If you specifically want these for drone viewing or similar external display uses, they can be useful. But if you’re expecting a revolutionary viewing experience based on the marketing and influencer hype, you may end up disappointed like I was. ... show more

  • A solid upgrade to the 3s pros
Size: Justice
I bought these as an upgrade to the Rayneo 3s Pro glasses that I have been using and absolutely love. The biggest changes are the HDR10 and AI HDR settings which are great for movies and gaming (the AI HDR upscales) and the new sound tubes are a great addition and make it much easier to hear everything in areas that are noisier like outside or when you are around people having conversations when you are using these. Ive noticed the speakers took a little time to break in but once they do they sound great so if you don't like the sound right away just give em some time to break in, although with the tubes it makes the sound much more prominent than older models. I use my glasses for watching TV, playing XBox and switch, and as a monitor for my Mini PC and for my use they are excellent. I bought the Rayneo PocketTv when I got my 3s Pros and i like it so well and am so used to using it as it pairs so well with the glasses id recommend getting that to go with these. I use the 3d mode with my mini pc to watch movies through potplayer using 3d output and things like star wars and the new predator look amazing on these glasses in 3d. The brightness is so good you don't even really need the lens shade when you are outside (it does make the picture better in bright environments but you can still see just fine with the brightness turned up). The limited edition comes with the glasses and usb c alt mode dp cable, a long pair and shorter pair each of the sound tubes, 2 lens shades (one that looks like Batman's cowl - or the jokers eyes/nose depending on whether you get the chaos or justice edition) and the plain black one the 3s had, a batman symbol holder and a glasses case and cleaning cloth as well as all your guides. The case and the glasses have the bat symbol on them as an accent. The box that the glasses comes in is a really nice presentation case - much nicer than I expected. If your on the fence about getting them. Id recommend to just do it as you'll be happy with them they offer a great screen at a very affordable price. If you are a gamer you'll love them for playing games. They are plug and play very easy to use so no worries, just connect and start watching/playing id recommend picking up the hdmi adapter for connecting your game console and even the udb c adapter so you can play and charge at the same time. ... show more
